I received a full set of acrylic nails at Great Nails on 02/17/23. I provided the staff with a picture of the set that I wanted and they told me they would be able to do it. They told me it would not be exact, but something “very similar”. While doing my nails, I asked the male employee if the star design I wanted was too complicated, to which he responded that it was not. I then relayed to him several times that if it was too complicated to look good, I did not want the stars. He painted the star on my right pinky nail and asked me if I liked it. My right pinky nail turned out to be the only decent looking nail. At the end of the service, I was so flustered by what I received and having been sat in the chair for one and a half hours, I just wanted to leave. I paid the price for an acrylic full set with gel polish $50, plus a $30 “nail art” fee, totaling to $80 plus tip. My nails are literally disastrous. They look nothing like my picture I showed not one, but two employees. Besides that, they are extremely thick and jaggedly shaped. $80 is a lot of money for great nails that I love, and I just lost $80 for nails that I want off immediately. Being this dissatisfied, I returned to Great Nails today (02/18/23) to ask for a refund and for the nails to be taken off. I did not want any additional service from the employees at Great Nails, I will never be returning. However, when I explained my frustration and complete dissatisfaction with my service, I was treated with extreme unprofessionalism and rudeness. I have never been treated like that as a customer. I had not one, but two employees raising their voices at me and telling me that there would absolutely be no refund. Not only would there not be a refund, but they refused to do anything except change the polish, for which I would have been charged. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. I will absolutely never be returning to Great Nails and I need other potential customers to know not to go.

My name is ******** ***, the owner of Great Nails located on 1073 N 21st Newark Oh 43055. The customer came in and showed me a photo of the design she wanted. I told her I could do something similar, but it would not be exactly the same. I then discussed the price of the nails. I explained that it would be $75 plus tax, so the total of $80.43. As always, I applied the plastic tips and trimmed them. I asked her what shape and length she would like.  I have been doing nails professionally for seven years. I always ask my clients throughout the process if they like what I’m doing, as I go, as it is easier to correct things early in the process.  In regards to the design she had picked, I suggested the designs be smaller. She declined and I put the design on. She then asked for it to be smaller. I redid the design for her and she said, “I love them!”  Finally, she paid for her service and included a $10 tips.  After she left, she called to say she was unhappy with them and I informed her that I would be more than happy to redo her nails. The client did not return that evening. She returned the next day and demanded her money be refunded. She did not mention removing the nails. I informed them I would be more than happy to change the color or design.  I did not feel that the one and a half hours I put into her nails should be refunded as I offered many times to change them free of charge, since it was the design, that she picked, that she was unhappy with.
      Sincerely yours,
      ******** ***
