I purchased a 2025 Hyundai Palisade and contacted this detailing business to do a 6 year ceramic coating and he told me he would steam clean the inside and ceramic coat the inside as well. He also told me it needed an ozone treatment on the inside to get rid of chemical smells. I explained that I have asthma and he said the ozone treatment leaves no odor. I dropped the car off and he had it for 1 week. The day I picked it up his 17 yr old daughter had been the one that ran the ozone treatment. She said she had just unhooked it and it was very strong smelling. She handed me the keys and as soon as I got in the vehicle my eyes were watering and my nose started running and I had an asthma attack. I had to drive from New Middletown to Columbiana with the windows down. The next morning I went out to our garage and all you could smell was ozone. I pulled the car out and opened the windows. I slid the back seats back and both my hands started burning and turned bright red and swelled up. I immediately washed my hands and put hydrocortisone cream on both hands. I called Vink's and he said to stay out of the vehicle and not to touch it that the ozone was causing the breathing and rash problem. He told me to leave windows down all day and if it wasn't better in the morning he would come pick it up and try to fix it. He picked up vehicle and ran a charcoal filter purifier for 24 hours. We picked it up next day and it still stinks so bad we can't drive vehicle...its been 2 weeks of airing vehicle out outside. He also didn't ceramic coat the inside or clean it and told me he did a lifetime ceramic coating on outside and kept the whole $1,200.00. He also told me that his 17 year old does all the work. There are large dirty streaks down the hood sealed under whatever he may have used. Probably just wax? I would like my money back and we still can't drive our new car. He told me I must have covid and laughed about it.

    To Whom It may Concern

I am writing to address the concerns you've raised regarding the detailing services performed on your 2025 Hyundai Palisade. I apologize for the distress and inconvenience you've experienced, particularly with regards to the ozone treatment and its alleged lingering effects.
I want to assure you that we take the safety and well-being of our customers seriously, and I regret that our services did not meet your expectations. However, I would like to provide some context and scientific explanation regarding the ozone treatment.
Ozone (O3) is a highly reactive gas that is commonly used for its sanitizing and deodorizing properties. When used in a vehicle, ozone is intended to break down and eliminate organic compounds, including those responsible for unpleasant odors. However, ozone is also highly unstable and has a very short half-life, typically ranging from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the environment. After bringing the vehicle in question back to our shop and airing out the smell you claimed to be present, and running the charcoal air filters. we had exactly 7 people sit in your car. to include 4 employees and 2 customers who stoped by. they detected absolutely no smell what so ever. I can get signed affidavits if needed. we then closed up the vehicle for 6 hours prior to your Son and Husband picking it up. Your son sat in the car and said Quote "I smell no discerning smell whatsoever it just smells like a car" your husband also smelled the inside of the can and smelled nothing. The car left our shop smelling absolutely of nothing out of the ordinary for a new car! This is why we will not be extending you a refund offer of your $1200.00. What I will extend to you is a refund of $200.00 to have the interior cleaned at the shop of your choice. upon the signing of a contract I which the matter at hand has been resolved and there will be no further action taken in any way to tarnish the perfect image that Vink's Auto Detail works so very had to maintain. the $200.00 is what we would charge for a complete interior detail. if this is excepted I will have my attorney draw up said agreement and we can sign it in front of a notary.

To address the outside of your car, you were given a outstanding job of a lifetime ceramic coating in which I upgraded for you at no charge because you were a retuning customer. our cost for a lifetime ceramic service is $1950.00. giving you even more value for your money. the car was absolutely flawless when it left our shop both times! we provide nothing less. we are a Certified ceramic coating shop by the Chemist who manufactures our products. we are bound to adhere to very strict standards to maintain that certification. we must provide them with photographs on the work that we do. we are the only Detail shop in a 150 mile radius who has been good enough to achieve this astute certification.

we have been a family owned business for many years doing several thousand cars, during that time WITHOUT never having a unsatisfied customer. our customer service is by far the best in the industry! My 2 full time and 6 part time employees including myself go out of our way in every aspect to ensure our customers are afforded the absolute best of the best.

    Thank You,
