I hired ARC to replace the roof on my house and garage as well as the siding on my garage. I got my insurance company to pay the claim in November of 2023 for just over $20,000. **** from ARC said the roof would be installed in April of 2024. Since April **** not his representative Andrew will take calls, or respond to texts and emails. This is literally theft. Ohio’s attorney general is involved and I will be pursuing **** in court if this is not handled asap!

In June 2018, our roof was replaced by American Restoration Consultants. We worked with ****, the owner of the company. Our insurance covered the roof replacement due to storm damage. In Feburary 2023, we discovered we had a sizable leak. We contacted **** as we were still within our five year warranty. He sent an employee out who said the leak was due to old flashing around the furnace. We got out our insurance paperwork from 2018 and the flashing as well as the vent cap was supposed to have been replaced during the roof replacement as well as boards. Neither were done. The employee that came to our home put caulking on our roof and it had no effect on the leak. When **** called to let me know the leak was due to old flashing and vent cover, I told him according to insurance papers that received payment for, he was paid to replace furnace flashing and vent cap along with the plumbing flashing. **** then requested a copy of paperwork. I text him the paperwork and reviewed with him that his workers did not replace these things and led to leak. Old nails were used in the flashing. The company was also paid to replace boarding with new OSB along the vent line which has since been discovered. **** acknowledged this and agreed that the Roofing and boards needed to be replaced and agreed to send someone out to take care of it. However, this has not been done. Many attempts have been made to reach him as well as requesting to tarp roof at no resolve. Finally, an employee did show up and recaulk area but again did nothing to stop leak. At this point, **** is not responding nor fixing the issue. The leak has worsened to the point we have to have another roofer repair it. We have learned the entire roof is in horrible shape and ultimately, we need a new roof put on to fix the many issues. We tried for weeks to get ARC to replace roofing issues but cannot get a response anymore and have to seek third party help. Attaching text conversation with **** as confirmation.

We have fixed and resolved the issue to his roof. Chimney cap was blown out of place by the wind. Not sure why this complaint came about. I didn’t even charge for the repair to the roof caused by storm damage not warranted. Thank you. I guess I can charge though if this is not removed. Thanks and god speed.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

**** agreed to fix my roof and boards especially since he was paid by the insurance to replace the items in question and they did not as can be seen in the text messages from him. They used old material including the old nails which is also viewable in screenshots. This falls under the workmanship warranty and billing our insurance for parts and service that wasn’t completed.

    Sincerely,
