I would like to recognize Progressive's Customer Service team. I am a Head Team Lead for another customer service company and I was absolutely AMAZED at the level of training and care to detail these representatives have gone through. They are extremely confident in the information they provide and have a fantastic sense of rapport building.
I would like to shoutout **** ****** in sales. She was extremely helpful while I was trying to get my first renters insurance policy. She has an incredible personality and if I could have her on my team as a representative I would absolutely steal her! Her call was a fantastic example to set for all of customer service nationwide.
Please give her the recognition she deserves! Representatives who go above and beyond, especially to the level Ariana did, are about as hard to come by as it gets! Kudos! I will absolutely remember this experience :)

      Business Name: Progressive Insurance
Complaint Type: Auto Insurance Claim Delay
      Claim #: upon request
      Policy #: upon request
Customer ****** ******* Desired Resolution: Approve repairs under my Progressive rideshare coverage and expedite processing
I’ve been a Progressive customer for over 20 years and currently pay $416/month for personal and rideshare coverage. On July 12, 2025, I submitted a claim after my vehicle was damaged from a major pothole while driving in ****** ******* *** I was en route to begin my **** shift, which qualifies as “Period 1” activity under my rideshare endorsement.
      I provided:
      • My **** activity log showing I began work at 10:15 PM that same night, after the damage occurred
      • A signed waiver from Progressive reinstating continuous coverage despite a brief lapse
      • Photos and ride data showing I stopped working on July 19 due to worsening damage
      • A clear explanation that this is a claim under my Progressive policy, not ****’s commercial policy
Despite this, Progressive continues to delay my claim, stating they are waiting for **** to verify whether I was “online” at the exact time of the incident. However, this is irrelevant — I’m not using ****’s insurance, and my Progressive rideshare coverage should apply while I was positioning to start my shift (Period 1).
This delay has caused serious financial harm, as I rely on this vehicle for full-time rideshare income. Progressive has not offered a resolution, nor provided a timeframe for a decision, despite receiving all required documentation.
I am requesting this claim be escalated, properly reviewed, and approved for repairs immediately. I’ve acted in good faith and expect the same from Progressive.

Canceled our policy for being $90 short with no notice. Was told if we have equity in our policy we would not be Canceled and they refunded us money, which means we still had equity. The price per month kept changing with no explanation. Customer service agents have horrible attitudes and rarely want to work with you on anything. Kept getting our commercial policy messed up. In 3 months they canceled us multiple times due to them not listening on the type of policy we needed. Kept making us pay reinstatement fees. Paid for 3 months of coverage and only received 2 months before being canceled. They are a scam company and NO ONE should do business with them.

I am filing this complaint to report "misleading and deceptive advertising practices" by "Progressive Auto Insurance" related to their advertised discount for drivers aged 55 and older.
Progressive advertises a discount for adults 55+ who complete an approved driver education course. Based on this promise, I paid over $25 to complete the course and submitted the required certificate to Progressive. However, the actual discount applied to my policy was only $7.00, which is a small fraction of the cost of the course.
I called Progressive to discuss this and spoke with a representative. I expressed my concerns and explained that the "website should clearly state the actual amount or percentage of the discount". Without this information, customers are led to believe the discount will be significant enough to justify the time and cost of the course.
This is an example of "false and misleading advertising". The lack of transparency "prevents consumers from making informed financial decisions". I trusted this company, and now I feel "ripped off" and misled. It’s extremely unfair for a major insurance provider to "hide key details" about a promoted discount.
      I am requesting that:
      * Progressive makes its discount details clear and visible on all advertising and relevant web pages.
      * Consumers who completed the course based on this misleading information will be offered a **full or partial refund** for the course cost if the discount does not meaningfully offset the expense.
This practice needs to be reviewed to protect other consumers from falling into the same situation.

I am providing a review and complaint with progressive Insurance Company. I had Progressive for two months. I received a letter in the mail July 24, 2025. This letter stated that I was cancelled as of July 14, 2025. I called progressive and the representative told me he recommend that I get coverage because I am no longer covered by Progressive, in other words we cannot reopen or reactivate your policy. I then requested to speak with a supervisor. I received a call back from Progressive by a supervisor on July 28, 2025. This guy was talking about that I did not respond to their emails, letters, and such. Apparently, This guy was saying because I did not contact them back. I was not aware if you didn't contact or respond to your insurance company you would be cancelled. I had emails that I hadn't opened and they said that they sent mail. I got this letter on the July 24, stating that I know longer had insurance. I was cancelled, driving my brand new *** ******** **** without insurance because I did not call these people back. I would of responded to a text, a phone call even. I didn't check my emails. I could of had a serious liability if something would of happen while I was driving. This is unacceptable. The supervisor was a real blurb to my explanation. He didn't understand my reasoning. I had opportunity to get their services again with them' BUT I DARE NOT...WARNING IF THEY EMAIL YOU 15 DAYS AFTER YOY HAVE INSURANCE WITH YOU BETTER RESPOND BECAUSE THIS INSUARNCE COMPANY IS LIKE A MARRIAGE..IF YOU DONT RESPOND YOU WILL GET DIVORCED. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES

Progressive approved my claim. They told me the other person was liable and then urged me to get my car fixed as quickly as possibe. As soon as I got my car fixed (literally THE VERY NEXT DAY) they called me and said they changed their mind and I was liable and I was responsible for the FULL amount. I had even used their WAY OVERPRICED service provided!

Lots of miscommunication and extra steps that they make you pay for in the end. They don't care to keep a good relationship, just take your money every way they can. I had a representative tell me I had to start a new policy and I asked why I can't keep my original to add a vehicle when I already had a policy and she said this is the way to do it. After changing policys, they had me add excluded drivers which I didn't have previously and asking for copies of proof of garaging which I submitted what worked the last time but required me to get a mail that went passed the due date. This should have been handled much better by their team and not add things that I didn't pay for before. Management is rude and talk rude to you even when I didn't raise my voice and said it was messed up only because it truly is. Last time it was all dropped and handled and I've been with them and these requirements of excluding family when you are in your 30s and paying for them is just plain ridiculous and embarrassing on their part to even have this as a fee. Overall, horrible customer service, horrible fees, and horrible in working with you.

******* ******* will ruin this company whole heartedly and make long term clients leave. She is the most disrespectful, lazy, rudest person to ever handle a claim. She doesn’t listen to her clients. Constantly speaking over them and making false accusations. The only thing she is good at is escalating situations. Her “investigation” lasted one hour. She completed her investigation without even seeing the evidence of my cars damages while lying saying I was not the one that was hit. I hit the other car. Which is completely false and if you saw the damaged photos any body a little competent would be able to tell that it was my car that was hit.
