Entered by BBB staff AT. The consumer signed a contract to have her roof repaired. The business said the cost would be $12,641.61; the consumer gave the business a check from her insurance provider for $9,000.00. The business kept saying they were coming, but they never did. The business then stated that they wanted the remainder of the money and that they would put a lien on her house. The business has not done any work. The consumer wants to have the work done, and then pay the remaining balance for the work.

The amount the insurance pays is the cost of the contract. You can’t steal money and then try to change contract price. Canceling is 20% which to this point is not paid. The homeowner has made it clear she will not pay anymore and is keeping the rest if the money and refuses to pay the full cancellation fee.

    Better Business Bureau:

Enclosed is the contract I signed on 6-5-25 for $12,641.61. Also, on 6-5-25, I paid $9,702.80, but now Storm Damage Consultants is asking for more. I'm willing to pay the $2,938.81 difference, but the company wants even more money from me, which I'm not pleased.

The company kept promising to do the work, and never did any work. It's so unfortunate how they want more money, but do not want to honor their obligation. This sounds like another scam in which they are taking advantage of senior citizens.

Please continue to look further into this matter. If need be, I can also talk to the Attorney General concerning this matter. Thank you.

    Sincerely,
    ***** *****

Continuous telemarketing calls from this company.
My phone number is in the Do Not Call database and even requesting to be removed from their call list does not stop them from calling.
Their telemarketers resorted to arguing with me that I need my roof inspected after 30mph winds.
I have also reported them to the ******* ***** ********** for each of the multiple violations of the National Do Not Call Registry.

Mike H***** was to provide roof, gutter and siding replacement. The job was subcontracted out and the roof was installed incorrectly to the point where our roof will eventually leak and did not pass a simple township inspection. He did not provide the gutters or siding and was paid for them. He states we still owe him money for our roof but when we asked for invoice or quote for the price difference to go to metal he just kept telling us that the cost was the prescription on the insurance payout. He violated his own contract in not providing a new contract for upgrades. When the workmanship was questioned he pushed me off on his subcontractor to this date has not fixed our roof. We now have to pay for complete replacement of our roof gutters and siding so our home does not incur further damage.

This company was paid in full and they still have things left undone that should have been completed. I still have a big pole in my back yard where they were supposed to rewire my entire home. Still waiting on my ceiing to be fixed, shutters installed and more. The workers also moved the side bricks I had as a step and as a result of that i fell and fractured my ankle. I just want the work to be completed as promised.
