    • Hired contractor to begin work on 8/14- never called nor showed up.
    • Contractor supposed to show up 8/15. – never showed up
    • Contractor supposed to come 8/16- sent message 7:01 pm 8/15 stating he could not make it on 8/16 that he would not be able to come until 8/17 long after I planned with work, so I was available for him to be here. I explained to contractor that waiting until 8/17 was not an option.
    • Contractor finally showed up 8/16 to begin work.
    • Work to be done as followed: LEVEL kitchen floor (tear out half the kitchen floor that was dipping down and replace to make level with existing flooring and add sliding glass door where man door was previously.
    • I was left for 3 days with no access to kitchen as it was completely torn apart and was given many excuses as to why it was not being completed, one being he was at his home working on his personal deck.
    • The flooring that was put down was completely unlevel and had many weak spots and gaps and major bulges. I explained to the contractor that there was an issue with the flooring. He showed up 3 days later with different material to use for the floor, so the kitchen once again had to be torn apart to add the new flooring. Once my husband inspected his work after the second time, he asked him to please pack his stuff and leave the premises and that he was no longer needed as the second time the floor was lain it is now a quarter inch higher than the existing floor. (Pictures attached)
    • As for the sliding glass door that was installed, it was installed unlevel and the frame was not even bolted to secure. (Video couldn't be attached due to the size)
    • The drywall is also incomplete because after the second failed attempt at the flooring getting leveled, we presumed that enough time was spent with the contractor. We had to completely halt our lives because much of the time spent was waiting and wondering if he was going to show up to maybe get the job complete with very little communication from the contractor.
    • In summary- I paid the contractor $1500.00 down and the contractor insists we pay the bill in full which would include an additional $1700.00.
    • The sliding glass door was $400.00 and that was all that we received out of this reconditioning. I will now have to hire someone else to fix and complete the job which will include removing the sliding glass door and once again removing the flooring for a third time.
