I rent an apartment from this business. They leave the washers on premises in disrepair and expect us to contact the laundry service company. The laundry service company is trying to sell product, they are not interest in fixing washers. The washers are old and barely functional on a good day. Our apartment manager doesn’t respond to complaints or issues. We just hear nothing back. This could be a nice place to live but it’s very slum lord like. It’s very frustrating.Business Response

I filed an application for a unit. I found out the application online and paid the application fee. Since then I have not gotten one single response I'll talk to one single human person at this business. But they took the application fee and give you a part of somebody else without any explanation I have not talked to anybody I don't even know if they're a real company. I read a review so it seems like it's a legit company but why is not one person contacting me to tell me I was turned down or anything the. I would like to run from this company but at this point a refund is just fine with an explanation of why thank youBusiness Response

This is an update to my deleted review. I changed it to five stars because I know what it's like during these times to get bad reviews for something I'm a chef and if a restaurant gets a bad review it hurts them big time. I was not out to hurt you guys at all. I've actually heard from decent things about you that's why I was so shocked when nobody got back to me. I apologize what time is really hard to find an apartment cuz there are so many scammers out there especially on Facebook marketplace so I was just hoping that I can meet you and you can give me a chance to rent from you but I didn't even get to talk to anybody it's my fault cuz I jumped the gun I'm just running out of time that's all it's companies a good company give them a chance I didn't and I should have I I'm just running out of time and was frustrated I 5 days to find a place to live. TVP Realty raised my rent 2 times and I had not been their 3 years. Most of the rent being raise was due to ******* ( the resident manager ) believing lies others told her . When I moved in the rent was $ 599.00 then it was raise to $ 604 then to $619. There have been others that never had their rent raised like that in 6 years. Secondly , I starting moving on May 31, 2024 and completed the moving out by the June 4, 2024. I was told I had to cleaning the carpet which was never cleaned when I moved in. The charge to get the carpet down is $170.00 which is not my responsibility. I did clean up my things as much as I could but was limited because my left arm is some what unusable due to a torn rotor cup and my doctor can validate. What bothers me more than anything some other person other than the maintenance men and resident manager had a key to my apartment. My apartment was entered into when I first moved in and items were taken then back in November 21, 2021 and while I was moving this time it was re-entered and my son and my birth certificate were taken. (Nothing was done). I said all this to say I want the charge for the carpet removed as a debt to me. I want me and my son’s birth certificate returned as a resolution. I would also like a written apology for then being so careless to allow other people in the building to obtain key and steal. They want me to pay 170.00 plus interest. My security deposit was $230.00 and the rent I paid in May was $619.00.

We raised your rent to keep up with increased expenses. Your rent was still under market of $699 per month. We do not enter apartments without notice unless it is a maintenance request giving us permission or an emergency. So in august the 24 th big rain has caved in my roof in bedroom leakes water into buckets dirty water also mold has to b growing in walls also carpet pading. Its been almost 3 months totally unacceptable ive been told 30-60 days for new 2 bedroom apartment time comes nothing now the transfer has been able to go thru yet im still here an beingchrged to live in a unsafe home. Now a 3 day letter to vacate because of nonpayment of rent well i should of been transferred to new place by November 1st i dnt want to keep paying rent for an unsafe apartment as ive been doin when it seems to never end im over it there all aware of it n no one is in a hurry wat so ever i want some kinda compensation or no deposit at new place i mean this apartment is not at all worth full amount if i leave so how can i keep being charged full amount barely able to stay there cause im worried its a health hazzard its very unprofessional thanks cory roushBusiness Response

My lease contract states that our 12 month lease agreement would convert to a month to month agreement unless we filed a 30 day notice vacate request. I called my landlord to inform her that my roommate had left the property a while ago of his own freewill but denied me removing his name from the lease. I couldn’t get ahold of him at the time and wanted to vacate by April 30th as we had planned. She said this was fine and to get ahold of him to fill out the paper work on both our portals. I was finally able to do this by April 12th. There were no outstanding damages done to the property and I even paid a 150$ fee to have the carpets cleaned through TVP. However, they have refused to return my deposit of 799$ because it was 20 days in advance instead of 30, despite knowing my circumstances ahead of time. I followed their advice to the letter and they never mentioned the 30 day penalty being a proper regarding my deposit, given the circumstances. I asked them over the phone if I would still get my deposit and they said as long as the property wasn’t damaged, I would. The property is in very good condition as is. I want my deposit returned to me in full under these circumstances.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I have yet to receive the 150$ refund. If it was accidentally sent to *****, this needs to be corrected immediately, as it was not his payment to receive in full. As for the deposit, it was promised to be by heather, given my unique situation. She promised me over the phone that my deposit would be returned to me in full, so long as the apartment didn’t become damaged in any way during my stay. *****, the other lease occupant, was no longer living on the property and hadn’t been for some time, so getting ahold of him to file the correct paperwork 30 days prior was next to impossible. I informed Heather of this and she said I would not be penalized as long as I filed it under both our portals as soon as I got a hold of him. I successfully did this 20 days in advance and was told that I would be alright and get my deposit back nonetheless, given the circumstances. So I cleaned the apartment, discloses any damages that may have been left and returned my keys. I still have a right to my deposit and even if damages were found, they aren’t worth 800$. I expect a portion, if not all of my deposit returned to me via check or direct deposit. Correct these mistakes please, or you will be served.
P.S.I have been leaving emails and voicemails with heather and your main office for about two weeks now with no replies. This is extremely unprofessional and unproductive, please correct this, among other things.

The TVP Realty Inc sent me an email April 10th which was them informing me about my security deposit. And I keep calling the main office leaving them a message for them prior to the security deposit that they claimed that they’re going to give me, but they never answer nor call back since they said in the email to call if I had any questions regarding my security deposit.
