I had a balance due of $210.00 to Radiology Associated, INC on 2/7/24. This debt was sent to a collections agency, PCB. PCB sent me an invoice on 3/4/24. I paid the $210.00 balance directly to PCB on 4/4/24. I then mistaking made a duplicate payment directly to Radiology Associates INC for the same amount of $210.00 on 6/10/24. I have called multiple times in attempt to get a refund but Radiology Associates refuses to process. They claim that they have not received the payment I made to the collections agency. PCB confirmed today that the balance was paid in full on 4/4/24 and the payment was transferred to Radiology Associates in May 2024. I have bank statements proving the double payment. Radiology Associates has been extremely rude to me, lied to me, and even told me they would hang up on me when trying to get my money back.

    Business Response

    Date: 07/12/2024

Radiology Associates Inc. (RAI) has confirmed that the initial April payment was reported in June to the PCB collection agency, but it did not get posted to the PCB's system. PCB indicated that if RAI reports a payment but there is no balance due on the account, PCB doesn't post any payment. At the time of the consumer's call to PCB in June, the balance was $0 because of the first $210 payment made in April. Since the payment were not posted to the PCB system, they incorrectly advised the consumer that he never paid.

There is record of the duplicate payment received. It will be refunded.

On July 02, 2024, a RAI billing representative advised the consumer by phone that RAI would adjust the billing system, reflecting the duplicate payments and process a refund. The next bi-weekly refund process is scheduled for July 15, 2024, and the consumer should receive the refund in the mail the week of July 22, 2024.

The RAI billing agent extends their apologies for the misunderstanding occurred by PCB and any dissatisfaction of services received by the consumer.
