My son took the ems class for highschool credit but didn't pass the final exam so he was offered the chance to retake the class with multiple other students who also failed the final exam with they never got to see the answers they missed. The retake cost 999 since nothing was needed nor clinicals required and was told he has 2 weeks to drop the course. This was late April and he was completely stressed out over having to retake it just to take the tests and didn't want to spend his summer sitting in a class so he is enrolled for college in August. He just turned 18 on the final exam day so obviously not mature enough to handle the situation before him. He showed up the third day told the instructor he couldn't handle the stress of the class and said he wanted to drop out of it. I thought I would be reimbursed for the payment and emailed the instructor but she told me he only had 2 classes to drop and not 2 weeks like I understood it to be. My son didn't want to disappoint me nor the instructor so he really wrestled with the whole situation. I emailed her three times but she never responded after the first response pretty much stating we weren't getting our payment back then I accused her of running a scam. She took advantage of a highschool kid that didn't have much life experience especially with business. It was a retake nothing taught new in the Two days he attended the class and he can really use that money for college I consider that as stealing for a highschool kid but it didn't seem to bother her. I did all I know to do my son is soft and gentle. He is pursuing a nursing career this experience has weigh on him not sure if all instructors will be the same way
