      I took advantage of a promotional offer from Lowe’s offering 18 months zero interest. I called Synchrony to find out how much I needed to pay in order to pay off within the terms without penalty. They gave me a number, I set up auto pay for that amount for 18 months and was done. This started in December of 2022. We received no statements or any other communications from Synchrony. Today we received a text saying we owed money. We called and were told that we were charged all the interest and late fees to day one. I will never use synchrony bank again. I will never buy appliances or large purchases from Lowes again. I just had the quote a new kitchen, but I don’t trust Lowe’s to do it after this experience.

      Worst experience of my life!
      I can't even begin to tell everyone what a s***** bank this is, and how many problems i have had and I only signed up 2 months ago

      Terrible customer service and poor options in trying to easily pay off loan. They seem to want you to only pay high interest rates and gear conversations and options towards those high interest rates.

      Extremely Confusing and Disconnected Login System – Risk of Missed Payments

      I have three Synchrony-issued store cards (Amazon, Ashley Furniture, and City Furniture), and managing them is nearly impossible. The system is fragmented and confusing, making it difficult to simply log in and pay bills on time.

      Example:

      If I log in via amazon.com.syf, I see Amazon and Ashley accounts—but not City Furniture.

      If I log in via synchrony.com, I see Ashley and City Furniture—but not Amazon.

      There is no single dashboard or profile that lets me manage all my Synchrony cards in one place. The login portals are inconsistent and misleading. For a financial company, this setup feels irresponsible and potentially predatory. It creates unnecessary confusion and increases the risk of missed payments.

      Synchrony should streamline its account management system and stop making the customer experience so convoluted.

      I realize that my complaint might be trivial but I am writing this on principal. Synchrony Bank has the most arrogant and patronizing employees. They lowered my credit limit without my knowledge although claimed that they sent me a letter. I now need new brakes in my car and I can't get it done bevause of their greed. The CS Rep was no help. I spoke to an obnoxious manager who was very cocky and condescending and apparently stands on all the ceremony he can. I wish I had gotten his name. Maybe they can figure it out in their call records. But based on the mans attitude I am guessing that magement lets his patronizing behavior slide. How sad Synchrony has no concept of customer care but lets their employees behave however they want@

      This Bank took 2 payment on June 24th 2025 call then immediately about it said the would send me a check in 60days if they fine it was their mistake Lol! I told them I was mot going wait 60day for them to correct their mistake. I would depute it with my bank. I did my bank sent me a letter Synchrony bank rejected my the dispute. Do I called my bank and disputed it Again then I called them again and they told me it was adjusted to my account so it would take care of my last payment. Well they lied they still took money out of my account for my last payment. I called again and said there was nothing they could do but wait for them dispute to be investigated. I will never you them again for nut n is pay later.

      Check address on your bill EVERY month if you pay through your online bank. Payment address changed without any notice to customer. Payment was made using old address so was never received. Sent immediately to Collections despite high credit rating and proven record of timely payments. Uncooperative dealings with reps and managers. No room for conversation and problem solving. Cut up my card after one month of trying to solve the company’s mistake.

      They made little effort to notify me my account was due in full at the end of their promotion. It was a small blurb at the end of e-mails. It should have been at the very top of the message. They made no effort beyond the automated statements to collect my remaining balance. No phone calls or texts. Customer service, while polite, did not hung to reduce my increased balance and additional charges.


      I’d leave 0 stars if I could. Will NEVER use again, and I’m telling everyone to avoid them at all costs.

      Synchrony Bank is the worst decision I made opening it with Harbor Freight,, Harbor Freight is an awesome store love shopping there but the credit card is the worst they will affect your credit score in a bad bad way don't ever get this card trust me
