I took my car to ******** Auto on 11/28/23. I knew the issues my car had, so I told them what I was wanting done. The man working gave me an amount that I should expect to pay for the repair of my car. Later that day they sent me a link to a detailed workup of everything that was wrong with my car. This list included things that I wasn't even asking for them to fix. They called about 10 minutes later and we discussed my car. After they told me how much to fix my car, I politely declined because it going to be more than the car is even worth to fix it there. I figured I could do it cheaper going to someone else. He proceeds to tell me that it was going to be $183 for the "work" they did. I was dumbfounded so when I went to pickup my car the next day I explained I did not think I should have to pay when they did not even fix anything. He told me that they spent 2 hours doing an Engine performance test to diagnose my problems. I already knew what was wrong with my car though and I told him that when I dropped it off and he had told me a price it would roughly be to fix it. He said, "no I said it would be that much to run the engine performance test." I never agreed to this test though and after going back and forth he dropped it to $130.90 after tax. So I paid it to get my car back. I'm still upset tough. I feel he only charged me for this ridiculous test because I decided not to pay thousands to fix my car there. I had no other choice but to pay or I would not get my car back. This is some bad business practice. I have been places to have my car looked at at other times and never had this sort of thing happen. Most of the time they look if they can fix it and come up with a price in 10 or 15 mins. He also claimed his guys took 2 hours with my car and I should owe more than what I paid in labor alone. I am so upset that I got into this situation and I will NEVER go back there and will warn everyone I can about ******** Auto. the next day my link to my repairs was gone.
