**** and I signed a contract for **** to do basement remodeling. 14x42 Plank flooring 33 boxes, repair ceiling 14( drywall existing tiles) 1x1x8 on backyard wall ( stained) 1x1x8 boarder everywhere needed (perimeter) Repair paneling on wall and drywall behind bar. start date 11/4-11/7 charge $5000 cash half down to start. I paid **** $2500 cash on 10/25/22. In November **** and his crew of one came 11/7/22 and started the prep work, tearing down the ceiling, pulling up existing flooring and tile from the floor this work took a couple weeks because **** said up front he does not work before 2 pm and he doesnt stay late. Works 2-3 hrs at a time. I told ********** wanted to be involved in picking my flooring but he chose to pick it alone. I asked he bring all materials he purchased with my money to my home which he did. I came across a problem where my basement was getting wet. I asked **** to give me a couple weeks to fix it and he was okay with it because this was around Christmas and he could be with his granddaughters which he shared he had total custody. **** brought *** a business friend over my house to assist to find the water problem although I had a call out to Hylander water proofing company. I have a sump pump. ***** friend *** said to tear down a full wall of drywall because he taught the problem was there so **** did charged me $60 an hr to tear out the dry wall. He brought a crew of 2 The charge was $240 cash. He hauled it away for an extra $100 cash. **** thought I would hire Him to replace the drywall but I declined because **** was charging $60 an hour and I didnt have that kind of money. I only had the other half of the $5000 to pay **** when the job was complete. **** never came back to finish the job. He didnt return my calls. He left 3 electrical wires exposed from when he tore out the drywall. (Dangerous ) I asked for the floor receipts because the boxes dont match. 7 are discolored. He will not take my calls or texts. Please help me.
