On February 28th I visited the office and placed an order for a pair of glasses. They billed my insurance and told me I could pay for the rest when my order came in. That is acceptable. I waited for a while and received a phone call on April 7th stating that the insurance approved the claim (turns out the claim was paid on 3/23/2023 according to my insurance company). So they placed the order for the glasses on April 7th. I called them on April 20th to get an update as it had been a couple of weeks. They stated they should be in the following week. I let that week pass and called again on May 2nd and was told they were not in. They also said there was an issue at the lab so they didn't pass inspection and had to be remade. They then we're RUDE and told me I didn't need to keep calling and they would call me when they arrived. I wait. Then I call and leave a message on May 22nd for a call back. Again on May 24th and leave another message. I have not heard back. I also emailed the doctor directly and didn't get a reply. I called again on May 25th and got someone who told me the same thing I was told on the 2nd of May, there was an issue at the lab and they didn't pass inspection. I asked to just cancel the order and credit my insurance back because at this point it has been 3 months and they still haven't delivered my glasses to me. Is this insurance fraud?
