July 3 2025 I had just parked my car and came out 10 mins later and my car was gone.I went to the front office and they said that my car was towed and I just literally bought tags for the car because a month ago they towed it for my tags being expired .I called and the man was very rude and I told him the plates must off fell off and they said they didn't care and I still had to pay to get my car out.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.
I went to get the license plates and it's required 24hours before you can tow and they tow it today I had it in my back window because the BMV didn't give me the screws with it and I literally just went the house 10 mins later my car was gone no expection or anything it's supposed to 24hrs which I dealt with them before at a different property and they put a ticket saying I had 24hrs and that's how it's suppose to be I tried to explain and he was very rude and disrespectful and I had to borrow a lot of money to get my car

I woke up and opened my blind to my apartment in the complex and noticed that my car was gone. I contacted the police to ask themif they had it they said no that tomorrow will come over to me to see what happened night or they call back and said a white truck was out there at 8:03 AM on June 23, 2025. They finally called me back and gave me the name of the company that took my which was Magonia Towing. I called them and Inman answered the phone and I told them where I live and why did they take my car he said because you handicap stickerhe couldn’t see it or read. I asked where is my car. He gave me the address to where to come. I went there to try to speak to them about thiscomplaint. My car has been on this property for over five years and has sent in the same handicap spot for two years now I am disabled. I want to see him. He was very rude very disrespectful and told me that the reason why he took my car is because ******* ***** it’s his family member and ***** was outside and another gentleman when I was leaving told me ***** told the tow truck man that ******* requestedthis car be removed. I have been going through a lot of issues with ******* on this complex. She has tried several times to evict me and I’ve won now she’s messing with my car. I had to pay money to get my car back that I don’t have that I had to borrowbecause I’m gonna fix income he came at 8:03 in the morning when their office is closed. I have pictures of other cars on the complex right next to car that doesn’t have tags that not on their car. I hate that not bother their car, but ******* has requested out of disrespect to methat he removed my car. I think this retaliation has gone too far for him to remove my car with no acknowledge of my this able plate, was on my car, which I have a picture of, but he will not not give it to me. Someone has to do something about this company. It is not fair Does ******* the manager of the complex had my car removed but no reason.Business Response

This handicap placard in this vehicle is expired 7/2024 and broken so bad you cannot read the handicap ID Number. It also is not properly displayed hanging from the rear window. No one at this towing company is related to the manager at ******** *** **********, but we have been doing business at this property for many years and have a good relationship with all staff. I paid for a parking spot at my residence they never come when I call to enforce it but they always come tow my car for stupid reasons. This last time I didn't even get a warning or anything they just towed my car while it was another car sitting in my spot.Initial Complaint

This issue simply stems from the falsehood of the employees that work for the business. On Monday, October 7th,2024 they towed my vehicle from outside my apartment with a parking pass inside. I called and spoke with an employee named Mike requesting that he go look inside the vehicle to see the parking pass on the front mirror, to which he explained that they don’t go inside the cars. (Which was a lie because the first time I had an interaction with them, my first day living at the complex, the agent I spoke with that day told me I shouldn’t leave my doors open because they noticed I did). They towed my car at 4:45pm even though the business closes at 5pm and I wasn’t able to get my children from school as a result of their incompetence. They stroll the parking structure of my complex 24/7 (literally) for a quick cash grab and employees take the parking pass down from vehicles just to have a reason to take your car. This business (allowed by the complex) preys on low income apartments to fund their business unfairly and something should certainly be done about this. When you go to the business they treat it like it’s your word against there’s because they’ve been allowed to get away with it so frequently that they do not care.Business Response

The attached release of vehicle shows the impound date and time. the picture time was 2:55PM. The owner of the vehicle is clearly incorrect on the tow time. I physically watched her (and the camera video in our lot) let the parking pass drop out of her hand into the floor of the car and said we put it under the seat... How many more lies is she going to tell. My time on the impound sheet and pictures don't lie. She paid one day of storage when she came and picked it up the vehicle the following day. They towed my car and the cars of my company in my own apartment complex for no reason at all. They did not give proper notice and circle our property in order to tow our cars in our luxury apartment complex. They are thieves. Our cars are all 2019 or newer and had not been sitting nor received any notices of tow. I had spoke with the leasing office who assured me that they would not tow my cars the night before they took them. They only accept cash and do not give receipts. They also tried to charge me for a “gate fee” After I had paid for my car in full. If you check the reviews on ****** they have a long history of stealing cars and only accepting cash only payments with no receipts.Business Response

Vehicle was tagged prior to towing (please see documents attached). Management from the property did not notify Magnolia Towing they had given owner time to fix expired registration on her plates from March 2023. Management reached out to Magnolia Towing and Magnolia Towing let owner retrieve car for free. No receipt is given for NO CHARGE. No Gate Fee was discussed because vehicle runs. Owner will not receive any compensation from Magnolia Towing because in good faith we gave car back with no charges.Initial Complaint

This owner has been trying to tow my car for over 6 months. He put a notice on it about expired tags. I went and got the tags updated then he came and tried to tow it again less than a because according to him I hadn’t moved it. He made me start my car in order for him to not tow it saying that he needed to hear it start and then once he heard it start said oh that’s why you’re not driving it, I’ll see you around. That’s was almost a month ago 1/5/2023 now I come home from work on 2/7/2023 and he’s towed my car because he know I can’t drive it according to him. Mind you there is no damage to it and my tags are up to date. This is the worst company ever there are other cars and broken down vehicles in the area that don’t run but because we’ve had negative run in before it seems as if he has had as a grudge against me since and has been purposefully waiting to tow my car. I just had the car dropped back off in front of my door. I got an estimate to get it fixed on 1/31/2023. Also there is no one else to deal with in the office so you have no choice but to talk to him and he’s disrespectful like and talks down to you as if he knows there’s nothing you can do besides pay him money you don’t have.Initial Complaint

My vehicle recieved a notice in July to remove off private property . Which the vehicle was moved I got repaires done an brought the vehicle back to my residence my car sat on the premises for 1 week after it was spotted agin by PATTY the lady who comes around tagging cars. 10/12/2022 my car was towed for continue leaking from vehicle after repairs I contacted ************ ** ********** the tow company agreed to give me the vehicle back “free of charge “ if I provided license ownership an receipt for vehicle repairs . Also receiving an written statement saying my vehicle will be released if I met obligations . I went to get vehicle an they told me I had to pay $345 after they said it will be free because it was wrongly towed due to non notice . I proceeded to speak with the employees about the matter an claims my vehicle was leaking transmission fluid . Dats false my vehicle has a slow brake cylinder leak . They are very unprofessional an rude an disrespectful. There is abandoned vehicle in the complex that’s been sitting here for more than 3 years that has not been towed an has a flat tire . I have written statements from them saying it will be released free of charge of obligations were met an they were. He wrongfully diagnosed my car saying there is a transmission leak this vehicle does not have transmission problems what so ever nor does it have a transmission leak my car has been hijacked an stolen without my knowledge . I was also told I would recieved a certified letter in the mail to let me know what further actions would be taken have yet to receive that letter today is 10/24/2022 I’ve had the rent office contact them again magnolia told the rent office no they is not releasing my vehicle . I thought the owners paid them so I’m lost of words
