Beau and Zach came to my home on July 29, 2022 to do some minor plumbing work. Zach purchased two sharkbites ($20 each) to put on the downstairs lines so the shower could be shut off easily; both Beau and Zach discussed this with my husband the prior day before the estimate was provided. Beau claims this was not part of the original estimate. He gave me the **** ***** receipt and told me that he underestimated the mateirals ($140 soon became $234) but still charged me $40 for the materials that were never used. It is troubling to know that he underestimated the materials by almost $100 but it makes sense when I was charged an extra $50 for things that were not part of the initial agreement. Additionally, the materials receipt that was provided also included $10 for *** **** that was also purchased by Zach. This was immediately brought to Beau's attention and he texted that same day stating that he would give me $50 cash in return for these two items. However, he called to say that I still owed him $40 for materials delivery (there is a **** ***** less than 5 minutes from my home AND the materials supplied were contained in a plastic bag AND there is no reference of this "delivery fee" in the contract. He has promised to give me the $10 back for the *** **** but states that Zach needs to give me the $40 or complete the work promised since "he is his own contractor" and "he only works with him a few days a month" (this is a lie because it's posted all over his facebook page that he and Zach have done several jobs together recently). I gave him until Friday, Aug 12 to make this right after sending multiple text messages, and he will not give me Zach's contact information so he has left me no other choice but to file a report with the BBB in hopes that I will get the $50 back that was promised in a text message right after the work was completed. Finally, there is a ad on his facebook page that he also gives 10% military discount which I never received either.
