I have completed Buyback with 2 books and have had a positive experience. I followed the detailed instructions provided. The deposit into my PayPal account was very quick after they confirmed the item I shipped met their criteria. I am currently renting 2 books this semester and anticipate no issues when I return them in December.TextbookRush.com

Textbook was sent in a **** Priority Mail Envelope. Yes, an envelope. The **** worker folded it in half and shoved it in my mailbox, completely degrading it. Was offered a 20% refund and told that USPS doesn’t offer insurance (the priority mail always offers $100 insurance, this was a lie). Eventually got offered a 35% refund on the item and no refund on shipping. You’ll notice that in their shipping guidelines they strongly recommend using a heavy duty box and making sure the items are packed tightly. Any damage to the item is deducted from the return amount. What a joke of a company. Do not do business with them.TextbookRush.com

We apologize for the bad experience that the customer had, but much of this was out if our control. The customer has a PO Box, and is in a remote location (we cannot provide their location in a public forum). This limited the shipping options and packaging we could use. Also, the item they ordered did not fit in the PO box opening (they provided dimensions to us via email). The mail carrier appears to have forced it through the PO Box opening, damaging the product. The order was not placed via our website, but we have asked the host of the other website to issue a refund of 35% (plus shipping) since the customer has stated they needed to keep the item for class. Since the damage was done by the USPS delivery person and not us, and the customer did not want to return the item, we felt that this was a fair resolution.Review fromLys

Will never use this company again. I was supposed to be returned a book I was trying to sell to them and ***** delivered it to the wrong house. First they told me to contact my local ***** to address the issue but ***** will not let me open a claim as textbookrush is the one that shipped the item. So I contacted them to open a claim for my package. They are now refusing to open a claim with ***** despite me showing proof that the ***** delivery photo and my house are two different house. Theyre stating they will not do anything sense they returned the book at their expense, even though they never offered me the option to pay for shipping for the book to be returned to me.TextbookRush.com

The customer is leaving out the key details to this issue. The customer quoted us a book online that they agreed to send to us - specifically the ** Student/Paperback edition of a textbook. Our site specifically tells the customer to confirm the **** of their book on the copyright page and use that **** to quote the book. The book the customer sent us was a different edition, a spiral-bound book, and had a different **** on the copyright page. This version of the book has no value in our system, and we are not purchasing it. No Value is in reference to the supply & demand value of the book as a commodity, not the intrinsic value of the text.Our Terms and Agreements state we will not return rejected books for any reason, and this is what the customer agreed to. We did make an exception and shipped the book back to their address. ***** has an image of the book delivered to a porch that appears to be the same house as her address on ****** Maps. The customer states it is not her house - and we take her at her word. However, we have no value associated with the book she sent incorrectly. Since we have no value associated with it, we declined to file a claim that would not result in a payment. We explained all of this to the customer and stated that this issue began with their submitting the wrong book. Went online and built a buyback quote of 7 books for $28. 4 of those books were 50 cents each. I sent the books in and when they arrived to the company I received an email stating that they are only accepting 4/7 books and it happens to be the 4 books that were 50 cents each. So out of my $28 offer I am receiving $2. When looking further into why the 3 higher value books weren't accepted they stated that the books were missing copyright pages. I did some research into the publisher and noticed that the books when purchased new don't get published with a copyright page in the first place. So why is TextbookRush offering money for them and then stating they don't have copyright pages once they are received and not paying customers out for them.TextbookRush.com

The books sent to ** by this customer do not have a Copyright Page, which we state online is required for ANY book to be purchased by **. The copies of the books sent to ** from the customer start on a page numbered IV, Roman ******* "4". We do not know why the books start on page 4 and do not know why they do not have a Copyright Page that we require. The customer will be contacted on how they can have the books returned. We ask that they pay the return shipping costs since we provide a pre-paid label for the shipping to us.
