    Customer Answer

    Date: 08/01/2024

After reading the letter for numerous times making sure I read it correctly I immediately started crying thinking of all the horror stories of people who were declared dead and had their benefits stopped where they couldn’t buy food medicine and ended up losing their homes. This caused numerous days of stress and panic causing me to call local businesses to make sure no one is going to steal my home now that I was declared dead. I want some monetary compensation so this will not happen to another person as an example to be more careful. Panic at the fear of losing income and a home is not nice it can be a trigger and nerve wrecking to say the least.  Thank you for the chance to give you my opinion. Thank you for correcting your records and thank you to the BBB for receiving my complaint and taking it seriously.
    God Bless

    Regards,

    ********* *****

Estate Information Services will not stop calling me regarding my deceased mother. She died broke with no money in the bank nor anything to collect from an estate. I have never co-signed for a loan of any kind. I am not responsible for any of her debt in any way. I have never co-signed or taken any kind of written legal responsibility for any medical bills or other unsecured debt.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/26/2024

Let me begin by extending my condolences to you
and your family for your loss.  We are
sorry for any confusion about your responsibility for the debt.  As was explained in the call, all debts
belong to the estate of your late mother, and you are not required to use
personal funds to pay for the debt.  We
had contacted you looking for the executor or administrator of your mother’s
estate.  Since you told us that there was
no estate, we will not have any further need to contact you.  To ensure that you will not receive any
further contact beyond the conversation on 02/20/2024, we will add your name to
our do not contact list.  If you have any
further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
