    On 12-11-2024 I contacted the storage company to ask about the policy on removing my items
    I was asked what date would I be able to have my items removed, I replied by 12-19-2024
    I then received an email that should reply back with a picture of an empty unit
    On 12-12-2024 I arrived to the unit with a company provided lock on my unit, my bill is current as of 12- 12-2024 and I’m unable to begin the process of removing items
    I have always had the ability to access my items from the storage unit until I called and stated I will be moving the items out placing the lock on the unit did nothing but delay the process, on cleaning out the unit
    These items are not a prize to me but a burden from cleaning out my late grandmothers apartment until family can retrieve the items and whatever money I owe this company I will pay
    But to delay removal of these items is costly expense to myself and other family members.

    I called when I was moving into the apartments across the street as I needed a place to put some of my stuff that wouldn't fit in the space and when I called, I confirmed multiple times that the unit has wheelchair access as I am wheelchair bound.

    They told me multiple times that it would be and that I would have the key for a wheelchair elevator as well as the freight elevator. But when I moved in, it did not appear to be wheelchair accessible. I had to have other people put things in the unit for me.

    They then started to raise the rates without notifying me. At some point, I learned that my monthly bill is over $50 a month, so I told them that I cannot afford that. I would pay for the month and pull all my items out to end my contract.

    They locked me out of the unit before that point, claiming that I owe them over $79 and late fees and this that and the other, told me that it didn't matter that the unit was never wheelchair accessible and that they didn't notify me of the increase in rates, that I had to pay if I wanted my stuff.
