      AirMax came out as a second opinion through my Home Warranty company with my general contractor present, where they suggested that the issues were fixable. After weeks of prodding, they finally shared (after many phone calls on my end) that they weren't able to fix the issue. They are completely incapable of doing what seems like basic work & totally incompetent. I wonder how they remain in business. STAY AWAY, unless you like hounding a company for absolutely no results.

      We were a second opinion for the warranty company, we explained to the home warranty what would be required to resolve the issue. We notified homeowner after we received information from the home warranty on how they were going to proceed per their contract.The homeowner then requested our company to quote. Our company declined to quote the repair due to previous circumstances with other contractors per our arrival. We wished to not to proceed with quoting.

      Our home warranty company sent AirMax Heating & Cooling out to our house to determine why our heat pump was constantly running. The tech came out and told us we just need a new thermostat and he'd place the order. Our house was at 70 degrees when the tech arrived. Once he left our unit completely stopped working and we've been without heat for 24 hours (now at 57 degrees in single digit temps running two portable heaters). We called AirMax last night and left a message. No one called us back. We called back this morning to be turned away TWICE since there was a "grounding issue" according to the rude lady taking customer support calls. I tried to explain there couldn't possibly be a grounding issue that wasn't caused by her tech, but she just kept talking over me and telling me if I'm not satisfied with them just coming back when the new thermostat arrives to call ******** **** ******. HOW IS THIS OKAY? We have children and animals in the house that could suffer consequences from their lack of customer care.

      I just went to my home warranty claim and this AirMax company had the guts to add a negative comment about me! Horrible customer service! Look at all of the negative reviews on this company regarding how they handle customers before you allow them in your house and waste your money.

      I am sorry that you are dissatisfied with the out come of your visit in February with the home warranty decision. You have a issue with thermostat , the grounding issue was rectified at the time of service, the home warranty made decision that was not covered. If you should any further questions regarding the claim please contact your home warranty.

      My first encounter with this company is by American Home Shield. My first encounter was met with unprofessionalism and lies. I could never reach this company and finally AHS was able to get them on a three way call. The man finally comes out and tells me I need an electrician. He then tells me that theres not enough power going to the unit and this is why its not working. This is ***** they sent out. I said to him, I had an electrician come years ago and the air just stopped getting cool the other day. I asked if he was a certified electrician and he said no but I needed one because it looked like there was a missing connection to the line. He said that would be the only way to access whether or not I needed a compressor / capacitor. So he comes back and writes I told him that an electrician had come and that now I needed a condensing unit. My thing is why didnt you write what you told me and if we can visually see the fan moving something is connected I would think. However if you tell a customer you cannot do something why not report the truth or tell the customer the truth. From the start this company was and is dysfunctional from the customer service and down to the tech. Just proceed with caution when dealing with these people. As they lie to make things better for themselves and worse on the customer.

      I have used Airmax for 5 years and have been extremely happy with their Comfort annual service. Every time I think our AC is dead they fix it at a reasonable price and do not try to sell me a new unit. I did buy a furnace from them 3 years ago but it was my suggestion after the repairs that were required vs a new unit. It was not forced in any way. I was very happy with the price compared to the competitors I asked for bids. You don't see that today.It appears most people write reviews when something happened which I understand but you also take the time to answer those complaints on this site and that is appreciated. Thanks ******

      I was scheduled to have a service check done on the 15th between the hours of ****. I took the morning off of work. AT 11:15 I GET A TEXT THAT I NEED TO CALL AND RESCHDULE BECAUSE IT IS TO HOT TO DO THE SERVICE CHECK!!! Do not try to justify yourself...YOU knew at 8 in the morning it was going to be hot that day...WE ALL KNEW THE *** BEFORE!!! I wasted a half day of vacation waiting on a service that was never going to happen. THEN, I call as instructed, leave a message. No call back. Tried to call again the following day, nothing. I called today, left a message. Frustrated I called my Home warranty company and explained the situation. She called and they told her they were not going to be able to perform the service due to over booking!!! DIDNT HAVE THE COURTESY TO CALL AND LET ME KNOW!! HOW PROFESSIONAL OF YOU!! After reading the reviews I should have known...I will read reviews before hand next time! Oh and don't bother responding and trying to justify anything because it will be a blatant lie!!! Your response won't mean anything to me...nor anyone else for that matter I am sure!!

      This will be a long review but worth reading.It is currently 81 degrees in my house at 8:30 in the morning. I just got off the phone with AirMax who hung up on me twice, yelled at me and threatened to file a police report if I called them back.A tech came to my house for a non working AC unit and told me that it was low on 410A and charged me 130 bucks for the charge. I asked him specifically if that was the only problem with the unit as it is kind of old so could be a number of problems. He said to me specifically that yes it was the only thing wrong with it. 2 days later here I am.I called AirMax and talked to a rep there who proceeded to tell me they don't check for leaks under certain circumstances. When I asked if they checked for other problems or just fix the first thing they find and consider that the only issue she became rude told me it was "like a car, when you fix something, something else can go wrong" To which I replied, then my mechanic would immediately fix my issue that they caused.She then transferred me to my home warranty company without even saying anything, essentially hung up on me. I didn't want to talk to my home warranty company because i already paid this company for services. When i called back and spoke to this same rep she told me I didn't pay them any money - despite me literally holding a receipt in my hand. SHe then proceeded to hang up/transfer me again.I called again and got a different rep who immediately started telling me I was using a wrong tone when simply trying to explain to her that I had paid their company money for a service and I needed to speak with their manager and NOT my home warranty company. She said she "wasn't gonna argue with me" and when i said I would call back for a manager she said "Then I'll file a police report for harassment" of course "no manager is in the office" and apparently in 2021 they don't have cell phones that they can take calls to. This rep then began to literally yell at me and hung up on me for the third time.This company will not only NOT fix your issue, they will deny any responsibility and treat you like garbage when you call them to get your issue fixed.Literally worst customer experience I've ever had with any company, ever. Judging from other poor reviews on here it is clear that they continually blame others for their terrible service record.

      I do apologize you had a bad experience on the phone with one of our office staff. We have to follow guidelines set forth by your home warranty. Per any contract their policy is must be 3 lbs or greater to perform a leak search. Your unit was not and did not qualify for a leak search per there guidelines. Your home warranty's policy is if you have an issue after first service has been performed you must call them a have a recall sent as first order was completed. There is no charge by your home warranty for this as the office tried to explain and you refused to call and have a recall placed. If you would like to have a service call you must follow the policy in which you hold with your home warranty that is their policy we have to up hold. The office personal have been re educated and I do apologize.

      My husband and I have had an awful experience with this company. Their customer service is severely lacking, they never answer the phones and when they do the phone agents are extremely rude and unhelpful. I have called on the hour every hour almost every day and have been able to speak to someone twice over the last month. I have chronic health conditions and the fact we've been without AC for a month now is unacceptable.
