5 starsWe have used Shagovac H&C since moving to Amherst in 1999. Always quick responsive service. Service technicians and installers are always great. Recently stopped by office to get a filter and the office girls were amazing and made sure I had the right filter.
I would give more stars if I could.
Very highly recommend!!!

5 starsJust finished with a service call for some basement flooding coming from 9-yr-old air-conditioning unit that has required about 20 minutes of mopping up twice a day for repeated leakages over several days. At first I thought it was the water heater because of where the water was pooling but it soon became clear that was not the problem. I was imagining a time consuming and expensive repair of air-conditioning system (maybe even replacement) but visit was less than an hour and everything is working great now. I rarely ever give maximal ratings for anything unless experience is exceptional---more than one would expect. Every contact from the first phone call (other businesses should clone the person taking calls) to the completion of the work was outstanding. The professional who came to the house automatically put shoe covers on before entering the house and briefly took them off each time he went out to the truck. He discovered right away what the nature of the problem was and patiently and clearly explained it in great detail as well as what would be required to fix it. He took a panel off for some show & tell inside the unit, demonstrating how it works when all is well and why the problem developed. He did a final test of the drainage system before leaving. Price for everything was surprisingly low. I even ended up purchasing the yearly servicing contract (air conditioning visit in the Spring and furnace in the Fall) which was also surprisingly inexpensive and well worth the cost now that the unit is starting to age. This is a purchase I don't usually make. Finally, my dog REALLY liked the service person and that is the ultimate endorsement as far as I am concerned. I highly recommend Shagovac without any reservation at all. (I promise I am not related to and don't personally know anyone who owns or works for the company and was not given any incentive to write this review). 5 starsBetter quality equipment (furnace, ac and water heater), at a price that was 30% less than the closest competitive quote.

5 starsThis is my second furnace with Shagovac and there is a reason I have stuck with them. They're people are professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient. Pricing is very competitive. They are also the company I turn to for yearly maintenance. I'm comfortable recommending them!
