I purchased a vehicle from Twins Auto on 4/7/2025. On 4/22, my tire pressure light came on. I took time off work to have it checked. **** Club confirmed a nail in the tire, and ********* could not replace it because the car was sold without a wheel lock keysomething that shouldve been included.I immediately contacted Twins Auto, was placed on hold, then disconnected. I called back and spoke to ***, who said Id hear from him first thing the next day with a resolution. I didnt.I followed up with *****, who claimed no knowledge of the issue. He told me to go to ********** to get a wheel lock key and said Id be reimbursed. ** didnt have one and also said the nail was likely there before purchase. *** then directed me to drive 30 minutes to another location to get the key. I declined, expecting better service. He later sent me to Discount Tire, saying a guy named *** would handle everything and that the tire would be covered. I confirmed this before going. When I arrived, *** wasnt there, and the staff was confused. They didnt have the wheel lock key and said the only option was to force the locks off, risking damage.I reached out againRob ignored my calls. ***** later said theyd remove the locks at their shop but wouldnt provide the key or replace the tire, claiming they had no way of knowing there was a nail. Thats unacceptable and suggests they didnt inspect the vehicle.VW later called to say they had the key. I bought it, emailed the receipt to *****, and asked about reimbursement and the tire. He only asked to confirm my addressno mention of the tire or an apology.I lost two days of work, was misled repeatedly, and now must track down a hard-to-find tire I thought the dealer was covering. Im appalled at the poor service and lack of accountability.Resolution Requested:Reimbursement for the tire and wheel lock key Compensation for missed work Apology and review of sales/inspection procedures (Details in full attached)Business Response

Better Business Bureau:
I accept the business's response to resolve this portion of the complaint. However, I am still requesting $500 in compensation for the inconvenience caused specifically for being misled and the time, gas, and mileage wasted. I was instructed to go to Discount Tire and ask for "***," who was not there, and they had no solution for my issue. I also had to take time off work for this. This situation goes beyond a tire its about customer service and integrity, which I did not receive.

I am reaching out for a status update of the check?
This is once again getting ridiculous with Twins not following through on their word and causing unnecessary stress. I have not received a response in almost a week now after refusing to come pick the check up from the business establishment.
I will be opening up a 2nd case if I do not hear anything by this evening.

I purchased a vehicle from Twins Auto of Dublin on 10/19/24. Before buying, I specifically asked about common issues and was assured by the sales **** ********, that the vehicle had been thoroughly inspected and that the brakes had just been replaced. However, after only ***** highway miles, the brakes were completely worn down to metal-on-metal, making the car unsafe to drive. I now face a repair bill of over $3,000 for a repair that should have already been done. When I contacted the dealership, the sales manager, ***, dismissed my concerns, saying brakes are a wear and tear item. However, it is not normal for new brakes to fail this quickly, and multiple mechanics have confirmed they were never replaced. Instead of addressing the issue, the dealership ignored my calls for months, repeatedly promising to call back but never following through. It was only after persistent follow-ups that they finally responded, but they refused to take any responsibility. The situation escalated when both the general manager and sales manager became hostile, cussing at me and even inviting me to come to the store to fight theman extremely unprofessional and unacceptable response. Furthermore, multiple reviews mention that employees at this dealership drink on the job, which raises even more concerns about their business ************ make matters worse, my pregnant wife was the primary driver of this vehicle, putting her and our unborn child at serious risk due to the dealerships negligence. Twins Auto of Dublin not only failed to uphold their word but also demonstrated a complete disregard for customer safety and professionalism.I am filing this complaint because I do not want others to go through the same experience. I am seeking reimbursement for the cost of the brake repairs and a formal acknowledgment of their deceptive and unethical business practices.Business Response

Hello, after purchasing a vehicle back in November, customer called and requested new brake pads and rotors on his vehicle. After asking for current mileage vehicle appeared to have 7000 more miles compare to when its left. Customer stated that they are happy with the vehicle, but would like to put "performance" brakes on his Porsche. We denied the request. 1) ********** vehicle was purchased AS-IS with nothing else promised. 2) Vehicle had additional 7000 miles on it, break pads and rotors are considered wear and tear item especially when some of them only rank for ***** miles, depending on your style of driving. After explaining all of the above to the consumer, he was calling dealership and using profanity, offending all the employees and such. Due to the fact that consumer wasn't able to have normal conversation without offending employees, their families etc... we advised consumer to stop calling our dealership or we will refer to local police department to make a report. Thank you!Customer Answer

Complaint: 22906085
I am rejecting this response because:
I appreciate the response from Twins Auto of Dublin, but I must address several false claims in their reply:
1.Misrepresentation of Brake Condition The dealership assured me before purchase that the brakes had just been replaced. However, after only ***** miles, the brakes were completely worn to metal-on-metal. Multiple certified mechanics confirmed that the brakes had not been recently replaced, meaning the dealership misrepresented the vehicles condition at the time of sale.
2.Proof of Safety Concern The brake failure was not a matter of preference or an upgrade to performance brakes, as the dealership falsely claims. I have receipts confirming that genuine Porsche replacement parts were used and documentation from a professional mechanic stating that the brakes were in a dangerous condition, making the vehicle unsafe to drive.
3.Failure to Address the Issue When I reached out to the dealership about this serious safety concern, I was met with delays, ignored calls, and ultimately hostility from their management. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, they refused to take responsibility for their misrepresentation and tried to dismiss the matter as normal wear and tear.
4.Unprofessional Conduct The dealerships response includes baseless accusations about my behavior to divert attention from the real issue. I contacted them multiple times in good faith, seeking a resolution, and they responded with aggression, including threats to involve the police simply because I was persistently following up on a legitimate complaint.
Requested Resolution
Given the clear evidence of misrepresentation and the safety risk this caused, I request the following:
Full reimbursement of $3,324.71 for the cost of brake repairs.
A formal acknowledgment from the dealership regarding their failure to disclose the true condition of the brakes at the time of sale.
I have attached mechanic reports, receipts, and proof of communication attempts to support my claim. I appreciate the BBBs assistance in mediating this matter and look forward to a fair resolution.

As mentioned before we have to regretfully decline this customers request for remedy. He owned it for months and put 7000 miles after the purchase. No mention of brake issues was made until after this point . It was purchased as-is per the documents he signed. He has been very unkind and verbally abusive when calling in. We have decided that cutting off communication with this customer is what is best.Customer Answer

Complaint: 22906085
To the Better Business Bureau,
Twins Auto of Dublins response is a pathetic attempt to weasel their way out of accountability after blatantly lying about the condition of the car they sold me. Instead of addressing the facts, theyve chosen to make up false accusations about my behavior in an effort to shift blame away from their own shady and dishonest business practices.
Heres the truth about Twins Auto of Dublin:
1.They Lied to Make a Sale Before I purchased the vehicle, I was explicitly told by their salesman that the brakes were newly ***laced. That was an outright lie. After just ***** highway miles, my brakes were metal-on-metal. Multiple certified mechanics confirmed they had never been ***laced, meaning Twins Auto knowingly mis***resented the vehicles condition to push through a sale.
2.They Ignore Customers Until It Becomes Impossible to Hide The moment I realized I had been scammed, I reached out. They dodged my calls for months. Every time I followed up, I got the same empty promises of a call back that never happened. It was only when I refused to let them sweep this under the rug that they finally respondednot to help, but to cover their tracks.
3.Their Management Is Unprofessional and Hostile When I finally got in touch with them, their response was not to handle the situation professionallyit was to cuss me out, insult me, and even challenge me to a fight. What kind of business operates this way? A scam operation. A legitimate dealership would have addressed a safety concern with professionalism, not hostility.
4.They Are a Danger to Consumers This isnt just about a bad dealership experiencethis is about selling unsafe vehicles under false pretenses. My pregnant wife was driving this car, and because of their lies, she was unknowingly at risk. This is not just negligence; it is reckless and dangerous.
Twins Auto of Dublin Should Be InvestigatedTheir Inspections Are a Joke Its no surprise that multiple online reviews mention employees drinking on the job. If this is how they conduct themselves at work, imagine how thorough their so-called inspections really are. Just 30 days after I purchased the vehicle, a coolant light came on, warning me to stop driving immediately and the sales *** told me to just put some coolant in it. This, combined with the brake issue, makes it clear that they either do not inspect their vehicles at all or they simply do not care.
Their entire operation reeks of dishonesty, deception, and outright fraud.
Twins Auto has shown zero integrity and zero accountability. They are exactly the type of business that gives the used car industry a bad name. Instead of taking responsibility, they resort to slander, lies, and intimidation to silence anyone who calls them out.
My Request Remains the Same:
Full reimbursement of $3,324.71 for the cost of brake ***airs.
A formal acknowledgment that they mis***resented the vehicles condition at the time of sale.
If the BBB is truly committed to consumer protection, this is a business that deserves serious scrutiny. I urge the BBB to warn potential customers before more people are scammed into buying unsafe vehicles from this shady, dishonest dealership.

I purchased a 2018 *** x3 M40i from Twins Auto of Dublin on August 23rd, 2024 for a vehicle for my wife. On September 23rd, 2024 my wife attempted to drive the car home from **** to ******** and only made it to *********, ********* before the low oil pressure light came on. She immediately pulled over when safe to do so and was stranded on I-40 westbound, 6 hours from home and ****. The car was towed to *** of ********* and upon inspection the oil filter housing separated from the oil cooler causing it to lose all oil pressure and coolant. *** of Nashville diagnosed the vehicle as needing a new engine and turbocharger which I was quoted $35,000 to replace. I have attempted contacting Twins Auto of Dublin numerous times to see if we could come to a resolution as on the 30th day we owned the car it critically failed costing more than the car. After several phone call attempts and messages left no one has returned my calls or even attempted to see the issue.Customer Answer

Hello, we apologize that you are having issues with your used vehicle. After talking to our third party warranty company, they advised us that the reason that your claim been denied is due to the fact that the vehicle been driven without any or very low oil. Vehicle should of been stopped immediately after oil filter housing broke. During purchase you inspected your vehicle as well as test drove it, automobile didn't seem to show any warning signs, as all our vehicles go through 120 point inspection and fully serviced before retail. Your nearest *** dealer seems to be taking advantage of the situation by quoting inflated $35,000 repair. However we stand behind our product, so we would like to offer you repair of your *** at our service facilitiy at half of cost. In order to diagnose and provide heavily discounted estimate we would need to schedule time when you can tow your vehicle to us for free diagnostic. Please let us know.Initial Complaint

I purchased this vehicle on January 18, 2024 and I was totally taken advantage of and lied to. I was told this car did have one accident and assured that all the repairs were completed by a reputable body shop. Within one month of owning it developed a squeak, I had to replace the headliner which was not done as it should have been after airbags deploy, have the the entire passenger inside door panel reworked, new seal on passenger rear door that popped off, the sun roof is not working at all, and now the passenger side running board fell off last week, and we discovered that instead of being put on the right way, it was held on a couple of clips and a zip tie. I now know the squeak was coming from the running board. I have had to put $2,500 in the car already and I have no idea how much the sun roof repair will cost.Business Response

We truly apologize that the customer is having these issues. However after looking into this deal we see that the customer was made aware of and signed the Carfax report showing the accident. As for the repairs done after the accident it was all done prior to us getting the vehicle to sell so we could not know how well they were done. Per our used car inspection the vehicle was deemed road safe and sellable in its condition. It was also sold $4000 below market value at the time. Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for these concerns.Customer Answer

This is an update to my original complaint: vehicle purchased January 18, 2024, was told this car did have one accident and assured that all the repairs were completed by a reputable body shop. Within one month of owning it developed a squeak, I had to replace the headliner which was not done as it should have been after airbags deploy, had the the entire passenger inside door panel reworked, new seal on passenger rear door that popped off, the sun roof was not working at all, and then the passenger side running board fell off and we discovered that instead of being put on the right way, it was held on a couple of clips and a zip tie, put $2,500 in the car. Recently, my son had a fender ****** in the car prompting us to take it to a licensed body shop and have now found out from this body shop that this car was not safe at all and that the frame was crumpled and full of bondo from the original accident. The reason the sun roof wouldnt work is because the frame was so bent that it was jammed. The body shop told me if we were to have had a collision in the car it would have just disintegrated because of the amount of bondo in the supports / frame and that this car should have been salvaged. I no longer feel safe to drive this car and feel completely scammed. I would like for the General Manager of Twins to call us to try to resolve before getting an attorney involved.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 2013 Mercedes Benz E350, I traded my car in for it, on Sautrday 6.1.24. I was told the gas tank would be filled up, and my mats were under the paper mats.
I called in to say I had no mats. They said they would order them, and the mats woud arrive in a day or two.
I called to check on the mats, and cannot reach anyone. I feel like they are puyshing me aside because they've made the sale.

We always try to attend to all our customers requests when possible. However we do have to follow procedures and protocols. Per Mrs ******** paperwork the her car was sold as is with no promise of floor mats after the sale. Typically if the vehicle didn’t come with them it’s because the previous owners removed them before we received it. In these circumstances we don’t always replace them. I purchased a vehicle from this dealership on 11/23/2023 and two days later the engine light came on. I took it to 2 different mechanics who verified the catalytic converter, VVT actuators, and left bump stop need to be replaced at a total cost of nearly $4,000. Turns out they turned off the engine light to trick me into buying it. I am very sorry that I did not have a mechanic review this car before I bought it, especially since it was sold "as is" with no warranty (a point they love to throw in your face). This, of course, protects the dealership and allows them to flip junk cars for profit while passing on all the financial and mechanical issues to the unsuspecting buyer.
The salesmen I dealt with, ******** and *******, were shameless liars. I was told I was approved with no money down, just to have ******* tell me after the test drive that I was actually approved with $500 down. Classic 'bait and switch'. When I told them that I was disappointed that they lied to me about the down payment, they did not care. If I were in a better financial situation, I would have left immediately. At least then I wouldn't be on the hook for a junk car needing thousands in repairs at 25% interest for 7 years.
After discovering the costly repairs needed, I took the car back in and asked ******** to cancel the worthless extended warranty he sold me. The warranty covers very little yet adds roughly $2,000 to the loan to increase their sales commission. It does not benefit the buyer. ******** voided the warranty, but the lender said he did not contact them to remove this from my loan. I emailed both Sergey and John to help me remove this and have not gotten a response.
Side note: They did request that I bring the car in for diagnosis and I did, but since they had lied repeatedly, I simply did not trust them to diagnose or repair anything. Do not do business with this dealership! They are very dishonest and you could easily be stuck with thousands in repairs on your "new" car.Business Response

We truly apologize for your concerns and issues. Unfortunately the banks determine down payment, rate and what you are approved for based on credit. I assure you the salesmen did what they could to help based on your situation. Any after market warranty offered is optional and when cancelled it takes no less than 30 days to be applied to your loan. All of our vehicles are thoroughly inspected to be made safe and sound. However things can happen post sale. Yes all used cars are sold as is but it sounds as if you chose to not accept the remedy offered to resolve the issues. The other two employees mentioned are no longer with us. Feel free to call in and ask for a manager to attempt to resolve this issue.Initial Complaint

The Salesman representing Twin Auto of Dublin lied to me about the suspension system of the 2016 Cadillac I purchased September 7, 2023, providing me with a second key and during the finalization of my car’s purchase the salesman told me the car came with a free three year 36 month warranty. I asked him about a second key and he said it had been misplaced by the garage mechanic and he would give it to me when he found it. After completing the purchase paperwork the salesman put on the plates from my car I had traded in. The salesman went back to his office. I started the car and immediately noticed a warning light stating Service Suspension System. I called the salesman and he said nothing to worry about just click on the dismiss lever and the warning light would go off. He then said the reason the Service Suspension light came on was because the mechanic had adjusted the sensors. I drove the car home and took my wife for a ride and she immediately told me your car needs new shocks. The next day I called the salesman and told him the car was riding rough. I brought the car back to have the suspension checked.when I went to pick up the car he told it needed to sensors and struts which would cost nearly $3,000. I told him he out and out lied to me about the suspension warning light. He then told they could not find the second key. He recomending having twin autos buick replace the struts and sensors and he gave me the contact information who could fix me up with a second key. I since then taken my car to two cadillac dealers the first charged me $2,600 to replace the struts and the second one charged me nearly $800 to replace the rear shocks and brakes. New struts cost $2,800.
This salesman and dealership are scam artist and knowing lie about the unsafe conditions of the cars they sale to unsuspecting customer. They need to reimburse the cost of repairs I made and future repairs and provide me with a second which will cost $480.Business Response

Mr ***** we truly apologize for the issues that have come up since the purchase of your vehicle. Unfortunately we can only go by what was promised to a customer before the purchase so that we may include it in the paperwork. If there’s a verbal agreement with a salesman in this case it was never brought to the managers. Based on all paperwork and contracts we promised no additional key and the suspension was never an issue prior to the sale.Customer Answer

They charged me for a warranty I never wanted and told me they would not sell me the car multiple times unless I bought the warranty too. When I attemted to cancel the warranty multiple times they would not cancel it for me despite reaching out to them in multiple occasions. I bought A vehicle under the premises that, I was buying a good albeit used but none the less good mechanical condition jeep wrangler. I couldn't be more wrong. I had asked before I arrived if I could use a lift to evaluate the vehicle when I arrived I was told it couldn't be done. I wanted to do a good once over on the vehicle so I crawled under neath the vehicle and inspected to the best of my abilities only using what my eyes could see. This vehicle many more issue than I could just see and find on a test drive. Here is a list of issue I have found (some have been resolved by myself without their interaction) missing antenna, tires worn beyond safe limits for winter driving, front axle seals, front wheel joints, front brake rotors, front brake pads, rear brake rotors, rear brake pads, rear axle seals, rear driveshaft, rear differential (need complete rebuild or replacement due to metal chip and fragmentation contamination in axle bearings carrier bearing pinion bearings pinion seal axle seals non visible wear to ring and pinion gears all due to contamination of oil for unknown amount of miles), check engine light is on over an emissions leak (purge solenoid was replaced by them and check engine light (mil status) was reset code reappeared), and the emergency road side jack and tool set is missing. That is not a compete list of issues but does give an idea of how bad it is. I am willing to do all of the other repairs except the rear axle and rear driveshaft as just in parts will cost over $2200 with out labor. if they are willing to buy the parts I will be more than happy to install them myself as I was an ASE certified mechanic. I also understand i bought the vehicle as is without any warranties expressed or implied, however these repairs are necessary for the proper use of transporting passengers safely as the rear axle can cause a catastrophic failure in the drivetrain causing death or serious bodily harm. I have contacted them 3 times with no resolution.Business Response

We here at Twins auto sympathize with your issues. However there was no mention of this issue pre sale along with going on 5 weeks now of owning the vehicle. You did sign an as-is agreement, thus releasing us from any future issues with the vehicle. Thank YouInitial Complaint

We bought a gti 2019 from twins auto of Dublin we bought it thinking numerous different things but when we left the car clutch was bad the car got looked at from 2 different dealerships saying the same problems and twins is saying the opposite and refusing to help. They finally look over the car and said nothing was wrong the moment we left the dealership the car is spitting and sputtering like it’s going to blow up. They are now refusing all service from us and refuse to help. I have all proof of that. We put 3500$ down and they pocket that bc our papers said N/A on the papers. We paid 37k for this car.Business Response

This is a repeat complain from a person who did not buy this car. As i responded before because of privacy i can not commit to this person about anything on the car. I will say they brought the can in and misrepresented them self as the owner to my staff. My staff drove the car and found there was nothing wrong with the clutch. In the original complain they stated the car did not run due to transmission and clutch being burned out but they were able to drive the car to the dealership and have add more then 2000 miles since purchase. The owner of the car has been in contact with our store and I am working directly with him. Please remove this complain because it is not the owner or the person we sold the car toBusiness Response

Dealer has spoken to the owner of the vehicle and has agree to buy the vehicle back at our sale price but to make the loan whole he would have to provide a check for the difference in the negative equity sales tax doc fee and title fees in the amount of $7054.56 all other warranties and gap will be cancelled and not charged to the customer
