I had a military obligation come up and I have a class starting April 14th with school of PE. They will not refund the money.

We received a request for refund from ***** ***** on March 12th. On March 13th a 2:14 pm a staff member responded offering a couple options including providing twelve months access to ondemand materials or transferring to the next live online class.  At 2:37 pm the student responded and let us know that they would not be able to take the exam for a "long time". Then at 2:55 pm the student sent another email requesting a phone call asking to work out a deal and indicating they were going to dispute the charge on their credit card. It was less than an hour later the student filed this complaint. Our staff was not afforded the opportunity to respond to his request for a phone call to see what we could do to further assistance him as we had not yet reviewed his request prior to him filing the complaint so abruptly.

We did attempt to call the student today to see what we could do to work something out with them, but they indicated they had already disputed the charge with the CC.

    Better Business Bureau:

I spoke with the business this morning. They are accurate about our conversations. I think we have a path forward. It's just hard losing out on the full $900 dollars. I should have read their policies better in all honesty. I understand there is an amount for work/loss on their end for this, and I am asking just to recoup something from unused services such as the live class. I have a military obligation which caused this and I am willing to share some proof of that for a partial refund, but some of the sensitive information on the orders would have to be redacted which is fine with me. All the relevant information would be displayed. Thank you for looking into this, and I would like to also thank the school of PE. It is a mistake on my end for not reading down the fine print. I was treating it like college where I could just drop a course for a full refund.

    Regards,

    ***** *****

Registered and paid for the school of PE online FE Civil Review course. Used the course briefly but had some medical issues come up that have prevented me from completing the course. I have had two back surgeries recently that have been quite costly. I needed a refund for this course but they have refused to even do a partial refund. I have barely used any of the online material. I do not see why they cannot do atleast a partial refund for the course.

***** ***** purchased School of PE's Ondemand review course on March 21st 2022. When purchasing the review course ***** had to review and accept the
Student Policy.  Once his transaction was
completed he also received an email for order confirmation that includes the
policy as well. The policy does in fact indicate that the Ondemand course is non-refundable.  In the attachments you will find the email communication as well as the complete policy.

Two days after purchasing the course he then sent an email wanting
to know how long he had to decide if he wanted a refund.  That same day we advised that it was not refundable
and he then asked how much it would be to extend the course because he knew he
had some work items coming up. That same day we provided the extension rates and offered to pause his account
and told him that we could do pause it up to 2 times. Then in April he sent an
email requesting we pause his account. On that date we did in fact pause his access.

He then called in August once again asking for a
refund.  At that time we advised again
that the program was non-refundable and he then said he was going to leave a
    bad review.

Screenshots of the interactions are provided in the attachments.
