I bought a Volvo XC90 from them on January 5, 2023. There we’re no lights on the dash and no signs of anything wrong with the vehicle. Less than 24 hours later 3 lights came on the dash. I let my sales lady know and she told me for one of the lights, all I needed to do was drive around more and for the other 2 lights I needed to go to a Volvo dealership and let them know. Almost $600 later at the Volvo dealership, everything was fixed. Estle refuses to reimburse me for this.

The one light was for low voltage to a component, we are not a Volvo dealer so we had to research how to repair the issue. We were told that by driving the vehicle it would create charge and therefore POSSIBLY fix the issue simply by driving the vehicle, most car batteries will recharge as they are used.  We relayed the message to Ms ******.... Ms ****** purchased the vehicle AS-IS, we were and are under no obligation to fix the vehicle after she purchased it... She acknowledged as much to us when she called us, her exact response was "I know I signed your form that I am purchasing this AS IS"..... As far as the other 2 lights that came on, I was never aware of them, so I have no idea what lights they were or what caused them to come on, or what the repair was that was needed. Again they would have fallen under the AS IS category, an extended service contract was offered to Ms ******, she declined to purchase it.... We try to be reasonable, but less than 24 hours after she had her car repaired, she was blasting us on Social Media, I lose my desire to help when I get multiple phone calls or text messages showing me her post slamming my business... A professional response or walking in the door asking for a resolution would have went a lot farther. I'm not saying that we would have or could have helped her, but we may have had more desire to try....

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I never once had a phone conversation saying that I understood I signed an “as is” contract. Having a car have MULTIPLE lights on less than 24 hours after purchasing is ridiculous and something should have been done. I tried speaking with the sales lady **** myself, as well as my fiancée and she had no desire to resolve the issue or even offer to pay HALF of the cost I had to pay to fix all of the issues that came on less than 24 hours after purchasing. Even when going to the Volvo dealership to have the problems fixed, the Volvo serviceman told me that Estle paying me back for the issues is the LEAST they could do after purchasing a FORTY FIVE THOUSAND FOLLAR VEHICLE FROM THEM. How is it that a dealership that I didn’t even purchase my car from agreed with me, but the ones I did buy from didn’t even care? Not to mention they were going to let me drive off the lot with less than 10 miles of gas in the vehicle  if my fiancée wouldn’t have noticed and said something, they wouldn’t have even cared  and yes, I did make a post regarding the issue on social media and I’m glad I did.. as more than 30 people responded to the post complaining of similar issues they had with Estle’s and one female even said she had to go as far as SUING Estle’s for selling her a faulty vehicle that broke down less than a week after purchasing while traveling across country with her young children. As a small business in a small town, I am appalled that they acted this way and I will stand by my response. The almost $600 I had to pay to get the vehicle fixed should have been repaid to me and still should be. I will not settle for less. Sorry not sorry.

      Sincerely,

      ****** ******

First be bought a car from them that had alot of issues so they let us get another one and now I haven't had this jeep for 2 weeks and the tires and breaks are shot and they dont want to fix the issues. We paid 30,000.00 for this vehicle it's a 2018 jeep grand Cherokee. We would like to get these things replaced on the vehicle that we paid soo much for. Thank you

First and foremost we went above and beyond when we took her Buick back on trade at no cost to her, she owned the Buick for 4 months and we gave her exactly what she paid for it. She said she took the Buick to an independent shop to get some repairs done, an oil change I believe, and they told her it had internal engine issues, which it did not have, we have resold the car and the current owner couldn't be happier... As far as the Jeep goes, Ms. ******* drove 5 or 6 vehicles the day she traded the Buick back in, the Jeep is the vehicle that she chose to purchase... The brakes and the tires are no different 2 or 3 weeks later than they were the day she purchased it, I'm sorry she feels she needs new brakes and tires but this is when she has to assume ownership of the vehicle she chose to purchase...The brakes and tires are safe....

This dealership contacted me about a vehicle I had listed on Craigslist they came to see the vehicle and agreed to purchase for a price of 33,500. My payoff on this vehicle was 14,000. I purchased a vehicle from them and used 6,000 of equity to put down on the new vehicle purchase. They then told me it would be about a week and they would send a certified check for the remainder of the balance which should be 13,500. I was a bit taken aback as I have never had to wait for a car dealer to send a check. They should have paid me the balance due that day. Seems like a shady business practice

It is Estle Chevrolet Cadillac policy that remaining proceeds are not paid to a customer for equity in a vehicle until we receive the title.  That way if there is a second lien for something we don't know about we are guaranteed the title from the bank or the customer.  Once we receive the title after making the payoff which could take up to 28 days for us to get the title we pay the remaining proceeds.

      Thanks,

On June 3, 2021 I purchased a 2020 Cadillac Escalade that was advertised with 27,000+ mileage. The transaction was done over the phone. The dealership delivered the Escalade with over 4000 miles more than what it was advertised for. When I brought it to the salesperson's attention, she stated that her Used Car Manager took it on vacation. I requested for compensation for the additional mileage and I was offered a free oil change. I then requested an extended warranty for an additional 4000 miles from the dealership at their expense and they declined. The excessive extra miles vs.what the Escalade was listed at is Theft by Deception. I have offered a reasonable resolution and they declined. Their unreasonable resolution of a free oil change is unacceptable. I have all correspondences and advertised pricing to back up this complaint. I am requesting mileage reimbursement for the excessive mileage or an extended warranty on the additional mileage at the dealership's expense.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/06/08) */ Contact Name and Title: ************ Contact Phone: ********** Contact Email: ************************** The vehicle was listed at 27,000+ miles, this is correct, but the picture of the odometer in the group of photos clearly shows the odometer reading of 31,217 miles. Unfortunately the listing didn't get the mileage update, but we were clearly not trying to deceive anyone since we posted a picture of the accurate miles, it was just an oversight...The group of photos that includes the odometer reading is available upon request... Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2021/06/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I believe they did not have accurate miles posted anywhere on the listing until I mentioned the discrepancy in miles. Once I shared I had a Time Stamp on my screenshot, their story changed and they now claim the picture image of the odometer was accurate. So, they added this updated picture of the odometer but not the odometer listing on the cover page of their advertisement for my vehicle??? I hardly think so. An oil change for a 4000 mile false advertisement is hardly acceptable and I think most consumers would feel the same. The resolution that is fair and just is an additional 4000 miles of extended warranty at the dealerships expense. I do not think this is an unreasonable request for a $66,000+ purchase.
