I am writing to formally express my ongoing dissatisfaction with the customer service and return process I have experienced with this company over the course of several orders.
In June 2022, I returned items from my purchase and did not receive any confirmation or response despite multiple follow-ups. Eventually, I was issued a store credit, although the returned clothing was damaged, and per the return policy, I should have received a full refund.
I then used the store credit for a new order in November 2023. After waiting over a month without receiving the items, I canceled the order and requested a refund. This request was denied, and instead, my store credit was re-issued.
In March 2025, I made another attempt to use my store credit. The items I received were sized incorrectly and did not fit. I promptly contacted customer service to request an exchange and was told that one would be processed. However, over a month has passed, and I have not received any confirmation of my return/exchange or any further communication, despite multiple inquiries.
This series of unresolved issues has caused a significant inconvenience and reflects poorly on the reliability and responsiveness of this company’s customer service. At this point, I am requesting a full refund for my original order, along with a formal acknowledgment of this complaint.
I have reached out several times over the last couple of weeks and my texts and instagram messages are being ignored. This company stole from me.Initial Complaint

I placed an order with after5 on Dec 2 2024. On December 16, I recieved and email
Stating that my order has been shipped . I checked USPS, it states they were awaiting my order for shipping . I email about a week later and got a response about how they apologize and how things will be shipped by a certain date , my order was not shipped by that date . I sent another email, requesting an update, it took a week but I got a response giving more excuses .. and saying I will be getting a refund . At the end of December , after Christmas , I emailed again … I received no response. Tim this day I have emailed multiple times with no response. But after 5 continue to send out emails of updates, with new ventures, and new merchandise.. but their current customers have not been fulfilled.. this is absolutely ridiculous and it is businesses like this one that gives small businesses a bad name ..I want a FULL refund IMMEDIATELYInitial Complaint

I made a purchase for apparel on November 24th, 2023. Order #*****. One item was shipped. The second item was delayed. I was not made aware of the delay until I corresponded via email with the merchant who promised to ship the item once received from the vendor, as she blamed it on a vendor delay.
Both my email and Instagram social media messages with the merchant for shipping status updates or a refund have been ignored since their last response to me via instagram messenger on January 11th, 2024 at 1:35pm.
I have not received my merchandise and I have not received a refund.Customer Answer

I placed an order on November 28. In that order were 5 items and I had only received for. They were delivered on December 7th. The next day I reached out via email to see if the pants were being shipped separately. I was told that they would ship on the 19th of December. I didn’t receive a tracking number so I waited. Then I received an email saying that she was short staffed but all items that were delayed would be shipped on 12/31. It was the holiday season so again I just waited. I emailed her again on the 13 stating that I still had not received the pants in the order and that I was requesting a refund for the pants which is ($33). It is now the 19th and I still haven’t gotten any response. The tracking number originally attached to the pants still says that it’s still in “pre-shipment”, but it’s been like that since November 28th. The shipping refund that was promised along with the “small gift” I have not received. I just want my money back for the pants.Initial Complaint

After5 Clothing in Dayton, Ohio is a womes store that does not respond regularly or supply online customers with their products after paying. I paid for a $52 dress on 12/4/23. I placed an order on Wednesday 11/8/2023 with after 5 clothing via their website order number ***** in the amount of $84.97. As stated on their website shipping normally takes 3-12 business days. I never received any shipping information, on 11/14/2023 I reached out to the company via email to inquire about my purchase. On 11/15 I received an email stating that the tracking information will be updated by 11/16/2023. On 11/19 I received an email with my tracking number **********************. I had a trip planned for the week of 11/23 I planned to take the clothing I purchased on this trip with me. I would frequently check the tracking number but the package never moved from Dayton, Ohio. On 12/1/2023 I emailed the company informing they that the items still haven’t arrived to me and I no longer wanted or needed the items and I asked for a full refund to my original payment method. On 12/4 I received an email stating that they’ll issue a refund. On 12/6 I emailed inquiring about how long the refund process normally takes, I never received a respond. On 12/13 I sent a follow up email about the refund that I never received. On 12/13 I received an email stating that they are still working on the refund. As of today 12/16 I haven’t received an refund or any forms of communication from this company regarding my refund. I placed this order over a month ago. I placed an order on October 29th, 2023 for the “Tisha Dress”. On November 16th 2023, I emailed After5 because I had not received the product I ordered. I received an email on November 16th, 2023 stating that they were experiencing delays and that I would receive an email with a tracking number within 24-48 hours. Then I received another email from After5 on November 19th stating that my order “went out yesterday, I should see an update between now and Monday”. As of December 1st, 2023 I still had not received my order, so I followed up with another email requesting the status of shipment. I received a response from After5 on Dec 4th, 2023 informing me that “remaining orders will be updated by Tuesday” which would have been Tuesday, December 5th, 2023. To date, I have not received my order. Also, when I track the order, via USPS, from the option provided at the After5 website, it states that it’s a “Pre-Shipment, USPS Awaiting Item, November 3, 2023”. So there has been no movement nor update on this item, on the USPS website, since November 3. Fyi, the USPS tracking number is: ******************************.
So, to summarize I sent an email to After5 on November 16th, December 1 and 4th and to date I still have not received what I ordered and paid for.
I’ve placed numerous orders with this company in the past and have never had this experience. In my humble opinion, customer service and factual communication is key to maintaining your customer base and repeat business. My request is that if After5 does not have the “Tisha Dress” size medium to send to me then to please issue a full refund of the money paid.Initial Complaint

I purchased three clothing items on 11/4 in the Sun of $97.59 My order number is *****. I sent many email regarding the items. The 1 item I received did not meet my standards. I was really disappointed and requested a return via email. No one responded. Once more time passed and the other two items I purchase hadn’t I arrived I contacted customer service via email and phone number provided and no responded. To date no one has responded to my customer service needs and I have not received my items. I placed my order July 7th and received confirmation of the order the next day. I received pre-shipment information July 17 however to this day it reads USPS is awaiting item. I have contacted the company many times various ways and no resolution due to no one responding to emails, direct messages, or reviews left. I ordered a coat online on 9/24/23 and have not received it.I sent 3 emails and 2 media messages after emails were not answered!I was promised item would be sent on Monday, gift card would be given,and shipping would be refunded.I haven’t received anything.When I check shipping details a label was created at post office but package is still sitting in Centerville,Near Nutt Rd! We do now have a full time employee who handles email and smart inquiries with a 24 hour or less response time. Since we are local company we invite patrons to shop in person or select local pick up to avoid in potential shipping issues or delays. Our hours are listed on google and pick up is listed directly on our website .
We appreciate you shopping although this experience was less than satisfactory for you. We also appreciate you addressing your concerns as a consumer with the BBB so we may be better able to learn from future issues.
