I felt like I needed to place a review to guide others. Summary of two visits: I went with my girlfriend because she needed finger prints and didn't want to get lost in the huge campus. We visited the ninth floor and went into the fingerprinting room; were immediately greeted with "who are you guys" by a disgruntled, to say the least, man working behind the desk. We calmly explained that we were there for her fingerprints and had an appointment, and he had me exit the room while she got her fingerprints taken. I was very patient and professional, that will matter later. When my girlfriend got out of the room, she said the guy was extremely rude to her and even once told her to take a step back and reach her arm further to get her fingerprint. He made her very uncomfortable, but I told her it's a good thing that it's just a one time thing. Later on, she got called back in to get fingerprints again, so a couple weeks later we came back in. We showed up about 10 minutes early so he told both of us to step out while he finishes an email. At the appointment time, he had me come into the office and take a seat while he got her fingerprints at the other end of the room. Everything seemed to be very professional and even a little upbeat. The only odd thing was that whenever someone else came in, he would stop working with her to give the others priority service, which seemed to make the service last much longer for us. After about 15 minutes, one of his coworkers came in and the guy had my girlfriend sit next to me. He said "you can put your phone down now" and I hesitantly looked up, wondering if he was talking to me. Our eyes met, and I said "are you talking to me", to which he sternly responded, "yes, you." He told us that the lady that came in wanted to talk to us, and extremely confused, I listened to her talk to us about being safe and professional when we visit here. The guy could notice the confused expression on both of our faces while she talked, so he interrupted her and said "let me take over real quick. Last time you two were in here, you walked in and demanded service from us" to which we simultaneously replied "what?" He continued to accuse us of acting belligerent last time we visited. We told him that we think he is confusing us with someone else because we were both very patient, professional, and civil last time we visited, but he insisted it was us. By this point, we both felt very uncomfortable with the confrontation. He first condescendingly told me I "can put my phone down", which was a confrontation in itself, then accused us of something absurdly outlandish. In fact, during our first visit, he was the one being aggressive, we both stayed completely calm. Next, we were told to follow the lady to her office for my girlfriend to sign a couple papers. I asked her if the guy called her up there to tell us to be professional and safe, and she said that he did; even seemed to roll her eyes a little bit. She said that they've been having a lot of disgruntled customers come in lately and he was probably just tired of it happening. But we weren't disgruntled, in fact I make a special point not to be one of the impatient people that nobody likes to be around. As someone just coming to be with my girlfriend so she doesn't get lost, I felt very disrespected by that staff member for the VA, and I firmly believe that his attitude would've gotten himself in trouble anywhere else. Everyone else at the VA were very friendly, but this guy on the ninth floor completely ruined it. I never review businesses, but this one was worth sharing.
