The company in question remodeled my primary bathroom and the workmanship was terrible. I brought up many complaints to the contractor and they didn't adress any of them. The specific problem was the glass shower surround that was not measured properly and they installed it anyway resulting in me having to call another cotractor to correct the problem, tear out the glass surround they put in and have them put in the glass shower surround properly. Unforunately the tile was ruined where RNBD Home Services installed the shower door and I had to have another contractor rip out the tile and reinstall new tile for the new glass door. All of which I paid for out of my own pocket. I asked RNBD Home Services to reimburse me what i paid out of my pocket and they wont acknowledge emails etc.

    Business Response

    Dear BBB Representative,
We appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns raised by **** ********* regarding the remodeling work completed in her home. Our team is committed to delivering quality craftsmanship and resolving any issues in a professional manner.
The shower door in question was not the incorrect size, instead it caused by an out of plumb pony wall due to an excessive amount of thinset applied to a tile, which ultimately caused the shower door not to align properly, this is also noted on the estimate provided by **** in the complaint.  Upon identifying this issue, we took corrective action by removing the improperly installed tile along with the tiles where the hinges were attached. Replacement tiles were ordered, and we made multiple attempts to schedule a return visit with the homeowner. Unfortunately, we received no response until December 27, 2024, at which point the homeowner emailed us stating we were not to return. This refusal to allow us to complete the necessary corrections constitutes a breach of contract along with owing an outstanding remaining balance of $2,162.45 owed to us.
Additionally, the homeowner provided estimates from two contractors for tile rework and glass replacement, both of which are unnecessary. The estimate for the glass replacement includes a taller, more expensive enclosure that was not part of the approved project scope or total cost. The estimate for tile replacement proposes installing subway tile on the outside pony wall—an element that was intentionally excluded from the approved design and total cost of the remodel. The homeowner received a credit for the exclusion, as she was undecided about what she wanted installed at that time.

We remain willing to resolve this matter in accordance with our contractual obligations. If further clarification is needed, we are happy to provide documentation of our communications and attempts to rectify the issue.
    Sincerely,
    ******

I am rejecting this response because:

I’m really disappointed in your response. After construction started you never stepped foot at my house to see all the problems that occurred. The shower surround and glass door were only one of many problems that weren’t corrected when I asked them to be. For a 23,000 bathroom I expected a competent job. Anyone that knows construction the problems were obvious. My vanity door one the left side won’t open all the way because it hits the trim. The vanity should have been shifted over and a piece of filler put in. Every time I asked for something to be corrected I got the response “ your walls are crooked”. I could go on and on. It’s so unfortunate and unprofessional. Every time I use my bathroom I’m so disappointed. All the money I had to save to have it done. It’s heartbreaking.
