1 starA car with the wrong permit was parked in my spot which prevented me from using a spot that I paid for for the better part of 24 hours. Each time I called Hound Dogs, I was told someone would come look at it, yet nobody did and they lied about it. I talked with my leasing office about the issue before making 2 more calls after calling twice to begin with, yet no action was taken so I would be able to use the spot that I paid for. Lots of empty promises and lack of responsibility. When I emailed Hound Dogs about the issue calling them out about their behavior, I was called several names (entitled, pretentious, stupid) even though I have photos proving my side of the story as well as me actively waiting and checking on the progress for this issue. Sorry (not) for expecting a business to do the job they are paid to do. Normally I wouldn't get personal with stuff like this, but it was frustrating enough that I am. I know several people and have read well over 100 negative reviews about problems with this company. They need to remodel their business structure, get new management, or just closeReview fromMarshelle P

1 starThis is a bully company. Pull vehicles out of parking lots that are renting events spots. Has a sign for event parking and tries to scam people of money.Review fromTasha W

1 starWell I never made it personal until today. Everyone has a business to run, I called to clarification @ 11:19 am today and the sweet lady on the phone said yes your niece can come get the car and take it up with the dealer because the car was towed but was and is still in my niece name( dealership mistake after repo. Later that day this big white lady gonna say your niece got her money back and it’s not her car. Yet the BMV said they never switched it out come get copy of documentation. They told several different stories but the good news my niece got her money back but because we have call app on our phone that records conversations we’re filing a civil lawsuit. She even stated on my call app that all she had to pay was another $54.90. So she doesn’t know the law very well, whether a lien or not it’s legally still in her name, and they sent the upsp documents to my house for proof. See you in court.Review fromAllison D.

1 starOn 6/24/23, I went to Hound Dogs Towing to retrieve my car. When I was paying with card, she (ginger-haired white woman, above 5'1" (my height)) said she needed to check my name via ID to match the card. I obliged. However, instead of just checking my name, she scanned my entire ID into her computer. I told her i was not comfortable with this and thay this violates data security laws as I did not consent to them holding such personal information. This is especially true as my parents have been victims of identity fraud multiple times. She refused to redact information or remove my ID from their cloud system, which was likely not encrypted or properly secured. In an angry tone, she told me that she wouldn't let me leave with my car (gated exit) unless I showed her my car registration too. I did so in order to leave.Hound Dog's Towing & Recovery

We’re required by state law to verify ownership of the vehicle and to keep records of who picked the vehicle up. We do this by scanning the vehicle owner’s identification into our secure database. We also do this to help curb fraudulent chargebacks. I would suggest parking legally next time so you don’t have to worry about it.Allison D.

The laws also say verification not saving information. And if you do take and save I formation, there are required disclosures and noticed that were not provided. Had I not noticed what the storefront was doing, I wouldn't have known what was being done.Review fromRichard G

1 starCan you give 0 stars and still do a review? Because that is what this company deserves for what they do. My truck was at Smyrna DE location. This company is full of thrives and liers. I see where it says that all trucks have forward and rear facing cameras that are always in operation when truck is doing toe. That would be very reassuring if it were true. LIES! As your company lies and steals off of the public that are already being extorted! That’s right extortion! And thrives THEY STOLE 1000 cash and the 1000 TRUCK BED COVER OFF MY TRUCK THAT IF THEY RECORDED AS I DID THE TOW IT WOULD SHOW THE COVER ON THE TRUCK AT TIME OF TOW AS MINE DOES. THIS WAS DENIED BY THERE STAFF OF LIERS. LETS SEE WHAT THE STATE POLICE THINKS ABOUT IT ALL. Criminals!! IN EVERY SENCE OF THE WORD. I HOPE YOU TRY AND REPLY TO THIS POST! We are located in Columbus, Ohio and do not do any business in the state of Delaware. There is another company that only does repossessions there that is called Hound Dog’s Recovery. It is a completely different company and is not affiliated with us at all. Please remove this review and post it to the correct company. Thanks.Review fromJennifer V

1 starMy car was towed from a parking space where I live at Cushing Arms Townhomes in a private parking lot for residents by this awful company for just having my front tire a little over the line. I went and paid the ridiculous fee to retrieve my car because I had to go to work, my complaint is they boast that they survey the parking lots, but since my car was towed there have been plenty of cars that park sideways over several parking spaces as well as cars and trucks that park next to the trash bin that is not a parking space at all consistently. So apparently my front tire being over the line a bit but in an actual parking space was much worse than those who park across several spaces and/or who don't park in a space at all or the survey of the lots is a lie. this company is a rip off.Hound Dog's Towing & Recovery

We don’t patrol Cushing Arms Townhomes. We only tow vehicles that are called in to be impounded by the management or maintenance. I’m not sure which vehicle you are referring to so I can review the pictures but regardless it would’ve only been towed from that property if it was requested by the management.Review fromC B.

2 starsDidn't utilize their service... However, I was an Uber driver dropping a client off to retrieve their vehicle. Client left, I had sat in the lot for a few moments to get ready to call the next, and a dude pops out of the building and beats on my window, telling me they got my buddy on camera and that he will be painting their cars for free. Absolutely unacceptable. If this is how they treat third party ride services, I am lead to believe the reviews hailing horrible customer facing interactions are correct.Hound Dog's Towing & Recovery

I have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. We don’t paint cars. However, we do have 4K cameras with audio that cover every inch of the property. If you are able to tell me what day and time this supposedly occurred I can try to pull the video to see what happened, if it actually happened at our location and not somewhere else. Is it possible that you interacted with another customer that thought you worked for us? I have no idea but I would definitely appreciate your response with the date/time so I can research it further. Our employees generally only interact with customers inside the building at the front desk and not in the parking lot. I honestly can’t respond properly until I get more information because I genuinely don’t have a clue about this incident.Hound Dog's Towing & Recovery

After speaking with one of my employees, we might have figured it out. We had an irate customer that keyed several employees vehicles as they went to retrieve their impounded vehicle. It is possible that one of my employees didn’t realize that you were an Uber driver and thought you were associated with the person that vandalized their personal vehicles. As you weren’t involved with that crime, I apologize if they startled you. As stated in my previous comment we have 4K video and audio and clearly saw the suspect use their key to scrape three employee vehicles while walking through our lot. We have both individuals information and have filed a police report and charges have been filed as well. I didn’t connect the dots with your review and this incident at first.C B.

I don't exactly remember a key being involved, and having cameras to record all around my vehicle from the inside... Can visually confirm there was no keying involved. This happened at roughly 1130 on 04-13/2023...C B.

1 starMost inconsiderate, rude , unprofessional employees. Female hangs up on me. Tags expired for 1 month was towed. Many other cars sit in this parking lot with expired tags of a year or more. I have to give them my grocery money to retrieve my car. I don't know what my son and I will do for food this next two weeks.Hound Dog's Towing & Recovery

The only time we ever hang up on anyone is when someone is cursing, yelling, screaming, being belligerent, etc. We’re not going to tolerate abuse from any customer so if we hung up on you that would be the reason. We don’t make the rules. We simply enforce them. Whether there were other cars violating the parking rules outlined in your lease or not is inconsequential. Your vehicle was in violation and was impounded as a result. It is very likely that they were also impounded if what you say is true.
