I had planned on contacting Oakland directly via e-mail, however since their website does not provide a means to do so, I'll leave the review here instead. I purchased 8 backs of ********** at the store today and went to the loading area to have it put into my car. Not only did I get home to find 5 bags of rock in the back of my car, but they were also bags of river pebble and not river rock. So I drove back to the store to ask for the product I purchased, and the the young man working there said that he didn't see any so I asked them to to unload it and went inside to get a refund. The gentleman who assisted me apologized, refunded my purchase, and said that the product was on back order and they didn't know when they would get any in ******** I have 2 questions here...1. How is an employee who cannot correctly read a ticket (in terms of the actual product and the number purchased) able to work in an area where they are directly serving customers? Had they actually read the ticket carefully, I wouldn't have had to waste my time with a trip home and back to the store. 2. How was Oakland able to sell me a product that they don't even have in stock? Clearly the employee who refunded my purchase knew they didn't have it, but I was able to buy it nonetheless. In the event that someone of authority from Oakland sees this and cares to respond to my questions, it would be much appreciated. So now that I took an hour out of my Saturday to deal with this, I'm back to square one. I suppose next time I'll verify that the product I want is actually available before heading to the store.
