I was written a proposal on 7/19/2023 to do wood replacement repairs to the exterior trim that was deteriorating around the house. They quoted 3 different prices with 3 different materials,I chose the cedar which was a cost of $6,240.00. I received a seperate quote for the painting after repairs were made at a cost of $2,134.00 an extra cost of painting 8 shutters of $550.00. The wood repairs were started on 10/2/2023 and finished on 10/5/2023 with a aditional board over garage door being replaced at an extra cost of $180.00 for a 10' peice. We paid with a check for the work done the same day they finished of $6,420.00. My wife not knowing the caulking arond the windows where the trim was removed and replaced was not re-caulked. This was mentioned later that day in a phone call to the contractor and she was told the painters would do that work before painting. The painting crew did not show up untill 11/3/2023 a month after wood repairs were made and they did caulk the front windows without first removing the old caulking from the windows and just went over the old caulk. The rear windows are still wide open and have not been caulked to this day 11/19/2023. We paid them with a check the day they finished 11/3/2023 of $2,684.00 for 5 hours of work and supposedly 2 coats of paint. The window trim has been left open for any rain that we had and prone to water infiltration that very likely has happened.and is still to this day not complete. They painted the shutters that were previously painted 2 different colors just the one color and still charged the $550.00. We complained to the contractor that we thought that they would be painted the same as they were of 2 colors to no avail. We feel the extra cost was too high for 8 shutters. We have contacted the contractor since the day they left to finish the caulking and was told they would get to it when the had an opening and told us that the contractor who did the wood repairs should have done it to begin with. NOT HAPPY
