      Summary of the Incident:
      I was contacted by Fast Van Lines (DOT 4381470) on the day of pickup of my household goods (6/22/2025), having already packed everything for shipping. I was not made aware of this company handling my services until that exact day as this was handed by a broker. After inspection they provided a quote that was very different from the broker, First Wave Van Lines. I was forced to oblige lest I be without a method of transporting my goods, given I was leaving for South Carolina that same day.

      Furthermore, the company did not disclose to me that my goods can be held in a warehouse and can take up to 30 business days to deliver. This was a very different quote than what was given by the broker, First Wave Van Lines, in which an agreement was made that my goods could be delivered no more than two days from my expected date of 6/26/2025 since a truck was already headed to a nearby town, Goose Creek.

      This was the whole reason I committed to the moving company. But now I have goods that are likely to be ruined (electronics, bathroom supplies, cleaning chemicals) by the Arizona heat having been sitting in a truck at an undisclosed warehouse.


      Lastly, I have made multiple attempts to get an update from the company on the expected delivery date. I have been told multiple times to wait for a call.


      Concerns:
      Unacceptable timeframe to discuss price change between broker quote and carrier quote. Lack of transparency/discussion on the timeframe that my goods can be delivered, having only putting it in small print on the bill of lading.  Lack of appropriate communication on the status of my household goods.
