Filed an auto claim with Branch due to tire shred ripping off part of the front bumper of my truck. Was initially quoted an 1100 fix by them. I had two estimates from different body shops between 2,700-3,300 for the repairs. Branch refused to acknowledge them and sent me a $600 check. I called and spoke with ********* ******, he assured me I wouldn't be out anymore than my deductible. I then asked about after market parts and if that is a potential route we could go with repairs, after all it was cheaper than both those options. He said that is something we could do. So I moved forward with that process. Branch did not cover any of the expenses and now I've had to foot the entire bill for repairs. Not to mention my plan jumping up $900 for an incident that I wasn't at fault for. Would be more than happy to discuss, and hopefully make things right.Branch Insurance Response

I wish I could give 0 stars. Terrible business!!! Do not use this company for your insurance needs!! They lure you in with great low rates then nearly triple that within a couple of years, even if you have NO claims! We cancelled and went with a better lower rate company and now I am having trouble getting my refund checks from them!! Unacceptable! I am telling anyone and everyone I know to stay away from Branch Insurance!Branch Insurance Response

Susan, we sincerely apologize for the system error that prevented your refunds from being processed. Both refunds have been issued at this time, and we expect you to receive them within the next week. At Branch, we aim to provide affordable rates for our members, but it's important to note that the insurance industry is influenced by various factors, including inflation, which has a significant impact on the cost of covering claims. In order to maintain the financial stability of our community and ensure we can fulfill our commitment to our members, periodic rate adjustments are sometimes necessary. We want to assure you that these adjustments are not made lightly, and they reflect our dedication to ensuring we have the resources to support our members when they need us most. Despite attempts to contact you by phone, we were unsuccessful. We're here to assist you further, should you wish to discuss your concerns. We are sorry to see you leave, but we thank you for being a member of the Branch community.Review from Lauren P

Do. Not. Buy! As many others have mentioned, we bundled home and auto as they had reasonable rates and seemed to be easy to use. But in 1 year, our home insurance nearly doubled (no claims or anything), and our auto insurance for two owned vehicles, no accidents, no tickets, has gone up over $300/month in the 1.5 years we've had them. We were just notified that our renewal will be $100 more come March. On top of paying an insane amount of money, we have tried to use roadside assistance twice for incidents involving a bad battery, 6+ months apart. The first time, the tow took over 4 hours to arrive. The second time, the tow never arrived. Every time we called to inquire about ETA, we were told 45 minutes. Thankfully it was only my husband and not us with our kids, but at around 3 a.m., he gave up waiting, canceled the roadside request, and paid for a tow out of pocket. When he called the next day to let them know so he could be reimbursed, he was told there wasn't a guarantee and was only 'a chance' he'd get reimbursed since the tow was not authorized by Branch. So not only will you end up paying nonsensical amounts of money, but you won't even get the bare minimum of what you pay for. I feel like a fool for signing up with this company to begin with and will definitely NOT be renewing in March.Branch Insurance Response

Hi Lauren, We're so sorry to hear about the experience you had and appreciate the feedback you've been willing to share. In looking into your account, we see that you requested roadside assistance twice. Our records show that you received assistance within 41 minutes, which would align with the expectations that you were given. We see that our roadside partner failed to arrive on the 2nd instance. We are terribly sorry for that and would like to reimburse you for the towing expense. A Branch Claims representative will reach out and get that sorted for you.Review from Jacob D

I highly DO NOT recommend Branch Insurance. STAY AWAY! Just like other's have said they attract you with good rates for the 1st year, then at renewal rates drastically increase for no cause. Their customer service is awful, every time I call I'm directed back to the insurance broker I initially worked with. I cancelled my policies with Branch Insurance 4 months ago and I have yet to receive my refund for my unused premiums. I've been told they magically never received my cancellation request and they are requiring me to send declaration pages from my new insurance policies. Save your reply back to this review Branch, I have read what you're going to say from the previous 78 reviews. Same candid reply. I will never return to Branch Insurance as a customer and I will never recommend them to anyone. There are better companies out there and Branch Insurance is not one of them.Branch Insurance Response

Dear Jacob, Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent insurance renewal. We understand the importance of clarity in such matters. We would like to address your concerns regarding the transfer back to your Independent agent rather than having Branch directly service your policy. When you purchase through an Independent Agency, your agent assumes responsibility for servicing your policy. This approach ensures a personalized and comprehensive understanding of your insurance needs and coverages, ultimately resulting in the best possible member experience. We empathize with your frustration regarding unexpected premium increases. At Branch, we are committed to providing our members with affordable rates. However, it's essential to recognize that the insurance industry is subject to various influences, including inflation, which significantly impacts the cost of covering claims. To uphold the financial stability of our community and fulfill our commitment to our members, periodic rate adjustments are sometimes necessary. Please be assured that these adjustments are not made lightly. They reflect our dedication to ensuring we have the resources to support our members when they need us most. We are sorry to see you leave, but we thank you for being a member of the Branch community.Review from Rachel J

They send me two emails and two letters every single week to tell me my insurance will not be renewed because they are leaving Colorado. I have asked them multiple times to stop emailing me and sending me letters because I fully understand. At this point I feel like I am being harassed by my insurance company. I also warned them that if they didn’t stop I would make sure to give them a one star review, so I’m just making good on my promise, unlike them.Branch Insurance Response

Rachel, we apologize for what you thought was an excessive amount of emails. Our goal here has been to make sure that any impacted members are made well aware in the event their coverage is disrupted. We did discover a bug that was causing more emails to get sent to you than we planned. We apologize for that and have since fixed the error. Thank you again!Review from Marcia R

Branch insurance offered me a very low annual premium for home and auto insurance, then at renewal, the rates TRIPLED. I was left searching for a new insurance provider. Branch was recommended by my mortgage lender, but I do not recommend them at all.Branch Insurance Response

Awful company, they attract customers with low rates then at renewal time they jack up the price double or in my case almost triple. Their customer service isn't very good after they sign you up. If you want a frustrating insurance nightmare sign up with branch.Branch Insurance Response

My car was stolen 11 months ago and I have yet to speak with "******" who has my case to reimburse me for the rental car or the tow. My Mechanic stated the car was totalled but they did pay for some parts to fix my totalled car. They refuse to speak with me about my reimbursement. It's in my contract and they said they don't have to pay me back. They were supposed to contact me and my finace company. I drive a Kia so they needed to keep track of the stolen cars but Branch has better things to do. They sure know how to take my insurance payments but what do they insure? That my registration won't be taken because I have "insurance" it's pretty pricey to keep registration and it doesn't do anything else.Branch Insurance Response

Branch is probably the worst company. Do not use them for to insurance! They will raise the rates every 5 months without telling you and then blame inflation and crap, as your customer we are dealing with inflation too! And since your rates keep going up for no legitimate reason we are choosing to switch insurance providers to someone who will be honest about their rates. Within less then one year my rates went from 190 to 475 with no new claims no tickets nothing to make our rates go up. It’s absurd and disgusting how these people run business.Branch Insurance Response

Kierynn, we completely understand the frustration of unexpected premium increases. At Branch, we aim to provide affordable rates for our members, but it's important to note that the insurance industry is influenced by many factors that impact the cost of covering claims. Inflation is the most persistent factor affecting your recent rate adjustments, but premiums are impacted by several other significant factors. The number of severe auto accidents has been rising, leading to increased claims and higher costs to our community. This is a direct contributor to premium adjustments. Advancements in vehicle technology and safety have also made repairs more expensive, which further drives up the cost of claims. Additionally, the rising costs of labor and materials in the repair industry have also had a substantial impact on repair expenses. In order to maintain the financial stability of our community and ensure we can fulfill our commitment to our members, periodic rate adjustments are sometimes necessary. We want to assure you that these adjustments are not made lightly, and they reflect our dedication to ensuring we have the resources to support our members when they need us most. If you’d like to speak with our team to better understand your rate changes, we would be happy to help.
