1 starPlease remove Ambetter from ******************************. Terrible health insurance. ******** customer service. Deny my PCP, deny when the *** says they accept the insurance. I pay $1200 a month and can't them to pay a $200 wellness visit for over a year. Spent 15 hours on the phone saying they will add my pcp from ******************* in ********* **** who says they accept the insurance. When I call AmBetter them they put me on hold and after a while send me right to the survey request.Why are they allowed stay in Business? People should not be put thru this.Review fromJoseph A

1 starCUSTOMER BEWARE! DO NOT purchase this ********************** plan. Their customer service/prior authorization for prescriptions is very poor and UNAVAILABLE ON WEEKENDS. They also are very slow to process/pay claims to providers (if they pay at all).Review fromAriaunah T

1 starI switched from a decent health insurance plan through caresourse to a plan through ambetter from buckeye because they said that my medications would be covered and my doctos appointments, I only visit my dermatologist and occasionally an urgent care for sick visits. This company did not cover my medication, thye will not cover any of my appointments, and no of the providers on their website actually accept them, I've called more than 30 dermatology offices and 15 urgent cares on their website and none of them accept ambetter. I called their customer service line to see if they would cover a dental appointment I scheduled with a provider I fould on their website and they told me no, I asked them to find a provider in my area that would accept them, after 30 minutes the agent took my off hold and told me that none of the places he'd called accepted ambetter and that I should call back after one when they get off of lunch. I will be cancelling my plan and paying for my healthcare out of pocket, it's better than paying $83 a month and no recieving any of the coverage that i was told I'd be getting.Review fromMaggie B

1 starI would not easily recommend Ambetter to anyone. I have never called customer service and spoken to anyone who truly understands the English language. Although spoken, it is clear that there are significant limitations with English to be able to answer questions accurately. Much of their answers do not are not logical and turn out to be misinformation. Facility costs are typically not covered and the insured is incurs the burden. The monthly cost is astronomical for the coverage provided. Next year I plan to purchase the cheapest option available as the service will be no different. Ambetter should not be an option on the marketplace and should be removed. **************** representatives need to not only speak English but also be able to comprehend and respond knowledgeable about all facets of coverage being provided. Worst insurance ever. I was scheduled to have a knee replacement because I can no longer walk and it has affected my back. 2 days before surgery the denied it. Did a peer to peer with my surgeon and said it must go before a review board. This is life changing. My quality of life is zero but Ambetter doesnt care. I will not be re-newing with them ever again.Ambetter from Buckeye Health Plan

1 star****************. Do not trust this company. Someone signed us up for their healthcare plan through the Marketplace for 2023. We did not authorize this anyone to sign up for healthcare plan for 2023. We received a letter from AMbetter Buckeye Health Plan dated July 24, 2024 that states Policy # has been CANCELLED effective 01/01/2023 for us. However, we never received a VOID 1095-A from the Marketplace beccause AMbetter never notified them the 2023 policy was cancelled. Five phone calls today to AMbetter where I stated I have two letters in front of me stating the policy was cancelled. The representative did not show that on her end, all the **** want to do is transfer you where you are CUT OFF with no call back. The *** is looking to us for a large sum of money for 2023 healthcare policy that we did not have. Ask to speak to a manager or supervisor that was not allowed. I WAS FORCED TO CLICK ON A STAR OR IT WOULD BE ZERO STARS!! RUN RUN RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!!! MY HUSBAND GOING ON MEDICARE 6/1/24, AND CALLED ON 4/10/24 TO CANCEL HIS AMBETTER SILVER COVERAGE EFFECTIVE 5/31/24. MAKES SENSE RIGHT? HOWEVER AMBETTER SENT HIM A LETTER THAT HIS EFFECTIVE DATE OF TERMINATION IS 4/30/24!! WHAT??? SO WE CALLED TO CORRECT THE DATE BUT INSTEAD ENTERED THE REALMS OF 2 HOURS OF BROKEN ENGLISH, HOLDS, TRANSFERRED TO THEIR "SALES" DEPT (WHY?), AND TOLD TO CALL **************************. SO THE GOOD ENGLISH SPEAKING FELLOW AT *********** SAID HUBBY SIGNED UP DIRECTLY WITH AMBETTER, SO HE STAYED ON THE LINE 3-WAY CALL BACK TO AMBETTER!! GUESS WHAT? Ambetter is the biggest waste of time and money! I retired from OPERS October 2022 and not eligible for Medicare since I’m 60. I had a stroke in September 2023, and have been denied a sleep study, which we know I have sleep apnea! Can’t get my sugar under control and have tried different medications, now they don’t cover the next medication my Dr. wants to try. I’m paying 805.00 a month for nothing. Unbelievable!!!! Wish I could go to another company now, definitely will as soon as possible!!!!Ambetter from Buckeye Health Plan
