While trying to buy a couple of energy drinks from said location, I found myself being interrogated by the cashier. They wanted to know why I was buying a energy drinks and for who. I tried to avoid answering, but as they persisted, I simply said dont worry about it. My comment was made with a smile, trying to convey the idea that I wasnt trying to be rude, just wasnt in the mood to answer questions about what I was buying. The cashier responds by telling me to never come to that store whenever theyre at work. I responded to their order because I have never heard nor seen anything like it prior, where a paying regular customer is told by an employee not to come back because they werent interested in small talk. A fussing match broke out between myself and the employee in when I was trying to let them know how often I come to that store and the amount of money that I usually spend there. The cashier responded by telling me that they didnt like their job and didnt care about being fired. At that point is when I understood that the issue of poor customer service wouldve be resolved during the spontaneous fussing match. So I left and waited a couple of days till I knew the guy whom I understood to be in charge was at the store. The guy whos in charge revealed that they were the owner, and as I tried to tell him what happened, he began to tell me that the employee had told him what happened. Unable to understand that there were two sides to the story, the owner played advocate for the employee and also began yelling at me (the customer). Its was like he was saying that though he and I had never had a negative interaction, nor have I ever had a negative experience with any of the other employees, he was taking his employees word as the gospel and that there was nothing he was going to do to correct the issue. I found it extremely strange how as we were discussing the issue, we were talking to each other like two adults, but when the employee showed up, the owner felt the need to yell at me as is I was irrelevantthe one who has spent a lot of money at that store.
