      Comenity Bank /J.**** I made a payment on my account and paid it in full before the due date. The credit card website's credit bot didn't process the bank account information due to a miscommunication (they claimed that I provided incorrect numbers or that one of the numbers was incorrect). I don't agree, but I cannot prove it. I was called a few days later and told that the payment didn't go through. The man. whom I spoke to told me that if the balance was paid within a few days, he would reverse the charges that were then added as a late fee/interest. I sent the payment through my bank, and it was paid within a few days. The company COMENITY BANK refused to reverse the charges, blamed me for missing a payment, and will not reverse the charges at all. I submitted a complaint, and they reviewed the issue. They told me that I now owe them $150+ all in interest I have called them to seek a resolution in this matter, but to deaf ears.

      Paid extra every month to avoid the finance charges on my 18 month finance free loan. Loan ******* payments ******* but still charged me $917 in finance charges. This is for dentist work - smile generation - revolving credit for each procedure your suppose to get 18 months to pay off... called and they are unwilling to work with me.

      I had a Big Lots credit card and paid it off, and was sent a payment $29 for paying off the card. Then I didn't pay that, now it's 43 dollars, and they have turned it in on my credit, but I paid the card off in full

      Charged Late Fees on a $0 Balance Predatory and Deceptive.I had a $0 balance on my Bread Cashback Amex and no new purchases, but Comenity still charged late fees on top of late fees for several months. I received a $212.93 credit in February 2025 and made follow-up payments. The mobile app showed a $0 balance, and I received no notices, yet they applied $30 late fees in ****** **** and June, plus finance charges.I only discovered this manually not via notification. When I contacted them, they refused to reverse any charges, citing policy. Their practices feel like a trap: charging fees on zero balances, with no transparency.Theyve already paid $53 million in refunds after an FDIC enforcement action for deceptive billing.       Terrible customer service! I have never received the physical card, first of all. I made one purchase in a Sephora store and paid my statement in full, prior to the due date. The next month's bill showed no payment and they had charged me a late fee along with interest. The bill was paid through my online bill pay, through ******* bank. I have never had any issues with ******* and their bill pay platform. The first time I called the CC company, I was told they had a time period where they were having issues posting payments and to call back in a week to see if it had been resolved. I called today and the balance with the fees is still there. I closed the account and spoke with a representative. They were no help in explaining why my payment had not yet been posted. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she was also no help. I was able to start a dispute but it could take 60 to 90 days to get it resolved. This entire experience, from the application until now has been a lesson in frustration and a waste of a great deal of my time. I have filed a formal complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I will not be dealing with them again. I hope this saves someone else from having to deal with this company and their extremely poor customer service.

      Do not use this service!!! I had a $250 remaining balance left on my smile generation account. I have never missed a payment and always paid on time. Today is 06/27/25, My next Payment was not due until 07/17/25. I tried to pay off the full amount so the interest wouldn't hit before the next payment and was not allowed to do so. They notified me that even though payment was not due until 07/17/25 the no interest promotion ended on 06/20/25 and they charged me $669.68 in accrued interest at a 31% interest rate on what was a $250 remaining balance. I called to negotiate and explained that my payment wasn't due for another 3 weeks. They refused to make any changes. Do not use their service!!!

      This company has trained the employees to take your money in late fees.
      If you call in to make your payment when it’s due then they hold on to your card information until you get the late fee, forget about speaking to a supervisor because they talk at you, then they don’t say anything like they put you on hold, then disconnect the call.
      This is the second time I’ve had this issue and they always blame it on something else, the supervisor said it was that I didn’t have the funds, I wouldn’t have called if I didn’t have the funds. Then they blamed it on the bank. Saying they declined it. I called the bank and they said it wasn’t even processed.
      Making a payment is horrible, they should fire everyone and go automated like most other businesses. Let them be replaced with a machine or AI at least it has better customer service.
