I was sold a car with an active recall that can catch the engine on fire. I had used money from a previous accident to buy this car it's funny that I had kids and I wanted it to be safe. And they sold me a car with an active recall for the engine bay to hit so far due to the braking system. Also the car is broken down and in their shop and when I try to go in and get information they refuse to give me information told me to call the sales rep **** ***** and he refuses to answer. I lost work due to having this vehicle in the shop. And I bought it less than 3 days before the car was in the shop.Business Response

I financed a 2015 ******* ******* from ***** Auto Sales, **** on March 6th, 2025 of $3,000 of down payment. Upon purchase I test drove the vehicle asked if the brakes an rotors could be replaced as test driving I did not feel comfortable stopping an the shaking of the steering wheel was uncontrollable. The manager agreed an said they would fix the car. After driving the vehicle for only a week I caught 2 flat tires. It was told to me to the tires were worn out, the rims were bent by **********. I called twice, one to change the tires an the second to tow the vehicle. I was told by 3 different Triple AAA techs none of the tires could be taken off or have the tires changed unless there was a specific lug nut key to unlock the lug nuts to get the tires off. I called for weeks leaving messages after messages trying to inform the dealership of the matter as well left messages for the general manger an sale associate **** to provide a callback to resolve my issue. With my biggest barrier being transportation, I was not able to advise anyone at ***** auto sales of this matter until March 30th in person. I spoke with the general manager by the name of Moeafter informing of my matter, I was told again they would have the issue resolved by the next day. I go the next day to pick up the vehicle, vehicle is still being serviced. I was then told I would have to purchase new rims because I would have the same problem with the tires in a couple of months. They said they would continue to fix it an They would call an let me know when the vehicle was ready. Weeks an weeks have gone by I have been calling an calling an they don't know on when the vehicle would be ready. I've lost my job due to me not having the vehicle an them stalling out to say as April 18th the rim could not be fixed. I was then approached as I would need to also make a payment to retrieve the car back due to me not paying for the car to be serviced. They have not been willing to resolve.Business Response

Ms. ****** ******** purchased a 2015 ******* ******* on March 6th, 2025, and financed it with Midwestern Auto Finance. After test driving the vehicle, she asked us to check the brakes before she purchased it. The vehicle was taken to our service department, and the brake pads and oil filter were changed before she took possession of it. It was explained that the vehicle was being sold AS IS and without a warranty and that all future repairs and maintenance are her responsibility. Please see the attached Buyers Guide, We Owe and Acknowledgement of AS IS Sale, all signed by Ms. ******** and which reiterates that the buyer is responsible for repairs and maintenance.
On March 31st, Ms. ********* vehicle was brought to our lot. *********** advisor called her,and Ms. ******** said we didnt change her brake pads and that we were supposed to do her rotors, too. She also said that she got a flat tire and didnt have a key for the lug nuts. *********** advisor told her that we already replaced the brake pads and that we would look at the vehicle. Please note that as of March 31st,Ms. ******** had put ***** miles on the vehicle and failed to make her first payment. She was clearly driving the vehicle (an average of 93 miles per day at that point) and cannot claim that a mechanical issue caused her to miss the payment.
*********** department removed the locking lug nuts, replaced one tire and turned the rotors. This was done at no charge to Ms. *************** She was advised that her rim was damaged and that we would try to repair it, however, it turned out that she would need to have it replaced. We assisted her with several repairs and explained that she needed to make her car payment.
Ms. ******** may contact her account manager if she needs assistance with a payment arrangement.

Purchased vehicle on 2/26/25. Paid $5000.00 cash not including the tax and title which was another $658.50. A week after purchasing the vehicle I took it for an oil change. On 03/22/25 my vehicle shut off as I was driving down 104 before the high st exit. Once I got a hold of Kellies Auto they said they would help with the vehicle and have it looked at to be fixed. Once the vehicle was looked at by their service department they advised me I had a bad engine and needed a new one. Mind you I didnt even have the vehicle for 30 days yet. Kellies refused to help fix the problem that they knew the car had. They sold me a lemon! A car with a bad engine. They told me i would need to pay them ******* to fix my vehicle but it wouldnt be a new engine guaranteed and they sold me a bad car! Tried multiple times to come up with an agreement to fix this issue but they refuse to take any accountability and would not even split the cost with me. I am now out of ******* and a vehicle!Customer Answer

I believe kellies should be held accountable as they promised me a reliable vehicle and said the vehicle they showed me would be a good vehicle for me and my children. However within 3 weeks it broke down and was told i had a bad engine in the vehicle!!! I took the vehicle after purchasing for an oil change so my vehicle was good on oil. There was no reason for it to break down that fast after just purchasing it unless they knew the engine was bad and sold it that way! I understand as is but there is a difference when your being led to believe you have a reliable vehicle and really they knew it was bad and reset the engine light. I do not have anything from kellies mechanics as they gave me no paperwork and were very rude. They treat people horribly and show no empathy or respect for others. I would like my money back! Ive been looking into lots of reviews and complaints from people having the same issue however alot of them are on financing I however paid cash to purchase vehicle in full! Regardless the vehicle was bad prior to 30 days and thats just crazy to spend so much to buy a broken vehicle they knew what they was doing.Business Response

******* ****** purchased a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox on February 26th, 2025. She was given time to test drive and check it out to her satisfaction. The vehicle was sold AS IS and without a dealer warranty. Please see the attached Buyers Guide, Acknowledgement of AS-IS Sale and We Owe documents, all signed by Ms. ************* These documents clearly explain that the vehicle is sold without a warranty and that repairs are the responsibility of the buyer.
Ms. ****** contacted us approximately a month after she purchased the vehicle and told us she had a mechanical problem. ********************** looked at the vehicle and found that it had an issue with the engine. She drove it over 500 miles and we had no way to predict this issue. We offered to assist her by setting up a payment plan for the repairs if she wanted them done in our shop. She declined and picked up the vehicle to take it to another shop.

I am rejecting this response because: you sold me a car with a bad engine!!! The car should not have had issues and there was not over ********************** within the 3 weeks of having the vehicle! Kellies sells bad cars to good people! You offered me to pay for the repairs under a payment which is still not ok. As is or not you shouldnt sell bad vehicles to people. No reason i paid 5k for the vehicle to break down less than a month into owning it. Im not the first ****** they have done this to. At this point I need to get a lawyer!

I dont think i drove no where near 500 miles in less than a month thats a lie! Also their terms for the repairs was unfair. Cant prove it was Kellies but someone had to of messed with the check engine light . The modem that controls the fuel flow had to be bad . This would have caused the check engine light to come on. This was the main cause of the timing change going bad. They sold me a car they rigged and knew it was a bad vehicle!

****** **** purchased a 2014 Mercedes CLA 250 on March 20,2025. He was given time to test drive and completely check the vehicle to his satisfaction. It was explained that the vehicle was being sold AS IS, without a warranty and that maintenance and repairs are the buyers responsibility.
On March 23rd, Mr. **** had his vehicle towed to us. *********** technician checked it and found that there was no oil in it and that the engine was damaged from driving without oil. The vehicle was not sold in this condition. It had oil and did not have any oil leaks.
Mr. **** had an oil change done at a facility on March 22nd. From the time of purchase on March 20th to the oil change on March 22nd, he drove approximately 123 miles without issue. The day after the oil change, on March 23rd, the vehicle was towed to us without any oil in the engine. I dont know what was done to the vehicle to cause this. As I mentioned before, the vehicle wasnt in this condition when it was sold.
We offered to assist Mr. **** with repairing his vehicle. We offered to split the cost and to help him get the payments postponed while the repairs were being done. This was done in the interest of goodwill and not because of a contractual obligation. Our manager spoke in detail with Mr. **** on multiple occasions and he has declined our offer.

I am rejecting this response because:
I provided in the above attachments the vehicle leaking in the driveway on night one of me having possession of the vehicle , also supporting evidence is the valvoline invoice where they mentioned the vehicle had both an oil leak and transmission fluid leaking meaning the had all these issues which the company stated there wasnt any. Also as I was test driver the employee that was in the vehicle with instructed me to drive to the corner and make an u-turn and head back to the dealership test drive did last 3 mins so I didnt really get a good test drive and during my purchase I wasnt provided the car facts of the even nor was it mentioned that the dealership was an as-is dealership during the process. my experience with this company had been terrible I just feel as if the dealership doesnt have the best interest for the customer from a business standpoint. I just need something done weather thats a refund , the vehicle gets fixed on their behalf , or I just get into something drivable.

Ms. ****** purchased a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox on November 15th. The vehicle was sold AS-IS and without a dealer warranty. The vehicle was financed by ****************** and Ms. ****** purchased a service contract. One of our managers met with her on February 4th and explained to her in detail about how the contract works. He noted that her questions were answered and that she would call if she had any additional questions. On June 30,2024 , I purchased a 2016 Hyundai Sonata from Kellie’s Auto Sales. The car total is $12,500. I put down $3,000. My car payments is $500 for 3 months then down to $400 after first 3 months. My first payment was due July 13, 2024 and I paid it. The moment I drove off the lot, the engine light came on. I instantly brought the car back. They kept the car for 2 days and when I came to get it, they said they fixed it. So I continued with my week. By the end of the week the car was messing up again. I told them and they scheduled me 2 weeks out for service. So I haven’t been able to drive the car. I was scheduled for July 25 but I drop the car off on July 24,2024. I am coming up on my second payment on August 10 and it’s very inconvenient for me to be paying on a car I haven’t drive and just brought. I been paying for rentals for 2 weeks now. I don’t know what my options are but I am over this company giving me a run around.Business Response

without a warranty.
Ms. ****** brought her vehicle in for a service appointment
on July 1st. She contacted us
again on July 9th to request another service appointment and was
scheduled for July 25th. This
was our earliest appointment available.
Ms. ****** dropped her vehicle off on July 24th. It was documented that she put 3,208 miles on
the vehicle in 26 days, so it doesn’t appear that she was unable to drive the
vehicle while she was waiting for her service appointment.
We completed the repair at no charge to Ms. ******. This was done in the interest of goodwill. She now has possession of the vehicle.

I purchased a 2015 Dodge Charger from Kellie’s Auto Sales on March 8th 2024. At the time of purchase I made a $4,000 down payment, as I was trying to get insurance on the vehicle and no insurance companies would accept the vehicle due to it being a “branded title.”
At the time I had no idea what that meant until one of the insurance reps told me the car had been totaled out and Kellie’s bought the car and fixed it to “new. I told one of the employees this and he went to go tell my sales rep. The sales rep never came back out and spoke to me but told one of his employees to tell me that I am able to just go and take the car without having insurance and to just come back when I was able to get some. Since then the sales rep has not contacted me and when I tried to contact him I heard nothing. Less than 30 days of me having the car, the check engine light came on. I never received a title for the car. I stopped making payments on the car until I was able to get in touch with the sales rep who sold me the car to try and figure out how I will get it insured. On May 7th 2024, they came to repossess the car from my home. When I went to Kellie’s Auto sales, I explained to the employees that were there of my situation, they stated it was not their responsibility that I was not able to get insurance and would not give me the name of the sales rep who sold me the car.Business Response

*********************** purchased a 2016 ****** Maxima on April 21st,2024. He was given time to check the vehicle to his satisfaction and it was explicitly explained that the vehicle was being sold AS IS and without a warranty. ****************** asked that we fix the seat in the vehicle and check the tire pressure and we agreed. He understood that the vehicle was sold AS IS and asked us to put these two items in writing. He was told that we always put any promises in writing on our WE OWE document and that he would get a copy. Please see the attached WE OWE document which states that no free work was promised or implied unless it is noted on the document. You will see that we only promised to check the tire pressure and fix the seat. I have also attached the Buyers Guide and Acknowledgment of AS-IS Sale. Each document was signed by ****************** and reiterates that the vehicle is sold without a warranty and that the buyer is responsible for all repairs and maintenance.
****************** left the vehicle with us so we could complete the two things he requested. He came the following day, personally inspected the vehicle and took delivery of it. My records show that ****************** next contacted our office on May 2nd and said his air conditioner wasnt working. He did not mention any other issues. He was told to come by the following day so our technician could check the a/c. His wife brought the vehicle, and we charged the air conditioner free of charge as a goodwill gesture.
On May 17th, ****************** contacted us to say the vehicle was having an issue with the transmission. We said he could set up an appointment with our service department for a diagnostic, but no free repairs were promised. His wife drove the vehicle to our facility on June 6th, but our head technician was on vacation. We apologized for the confusion and any inconvenience, but his wife was very upset and became belligerent and was yelling and making threats. She wouldnt allow anyone to speak or help resolve the problem. ****************** then sent a text message to his salesperson and asked him to forward it to one of the managers. This message contained vile language and references, was racist and threatening. While we understand that Mr. and ******************* were frustrated, it doesnt justify their behavior.
****************** purchased the vehicle AS IS and without a warranty and he is responsible for any repairs. Please review the attachments and feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you for your time in reviewing this matter.Customer Answer

purchased it. The vehicle wasn’t sold to
Mr. ***** in this condition, and it didn’t leave the lot without oil on the day
he purchased it, as his complaint suggests. There is no possible way he could have driven 2,934 miles without oil in
the vehicle.Later in the afternoon on January 30th, we communicated
the findings to Mr. *****. He asked that
we help him process the claim with Car Shield. Since it was late, he was told we would contact them in the morning.Mr. ***** called on January 31st and told us not
to start the claim. We understand that
he was upset but he became so combative that it was impossible for us to help
resolve the issue. He wouldn’t let us
speak and hung up the call mid-conversation.Our manager then called Car Shield to find out what needed
done in case Mr. ***** wanted to resume the claim. The representative confirmed they were ready
to process the claim on their end and gave details of how the process
worked. At this point, they only needed confirmation
from Mr. ***** on how to proceed. We made multiple attempts to assist Mr. ***** with his claim
but on February 1st, he sent a tow truck to pick up the vehicle. He stopped
communicating with us and stopped making his payments and was verbally abusive
with anyone who attempted to communicate with him. On February 19th he called to say
that if anyone attempts to contact him again he will file “harassment charges”. No one
has reached out to him since. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you for your time in reviewing this
matter.
