5/7 ****** Auto replaced the transmission on my 2001 ****** Highlander. They provided a 12 mo/12000 mi warranty on parts & labor in writing. during the week of 5/16 I noticed that the car was not shifting properly. I couldn't bring it in until 6/3. They said the problem had been fixed. 6/21 Trans light came on and car stalled out. Car was towed to ******. 1 week went by, nothing was done, no one would answer/call me back. 6/27 Owner ****** Mac called , said the problem was a clogged trans filter. He would have it ready Sat but we could pick it up Mon. 6/30 I went to pick it up but it wasn't ready. ****** told me the problem was spark plugs. I told him that another shop had just replaced them, they were under warranty too. We spoke with the mechanic from that shop and determined that it was not the spark plugs. ****** kept the car to fix the transmission. 7/1 **** ****** called from ****** said that he was taking over the acct. Said that the Trans. could only be driven up to 3rd gear & was stuck in that gear. It needed to be replaced or rebuilt. He asked for permission to send it to another shop to have that work done. We said that was ok. The shop was A-Team Transmissions. I asked how long it would take and **** said we would be at the back of the line behind paying customers, I told him to make us a priority, we were not ok with a long wait. 7/3 I called A team trans. to make sure they had the car and were working on it. They said it hadn't been diagnosed.7/7/25 I called A team trans. to ask when the repair would be finished. The tech who answered the phone said it hadn't been diagnosed and it wasn't scheduled to be fixed yet. he would have the owner call me. Ten minutes later **** ****** from ****** Auto Called me and told me to stop making calls to other garages. ****** didn't want me to talk with A team or any auto repair shops in town. They wanted me to only talk to them even if my car was somewhere else. I haven't heard from anyone about my car again.

I took my 2004 Toyota Highlander to this repair shop on 8/17/20 for a power steering pimp replacement and was charged $941 for the repair. The vehicle has been driven 9,800 miles since the power steering pump replacement and already needs to be replaced again because it is leaking. ****** auto is stating the power steering pump replacement had a year warranty and they are refusing to stand behind their work and the parts they use. ****** is stating I am responsible for the cost to replace the power steering pump again, I do not think this is fair.

    ****** ******:

*** ********* bought in his 2004 Toyota Highlander on 8/19/2020, upon inspection of the vehicle the technician found that the bearing in the power steering pump had gone bad and the power steering pressure line and return line were both rusted and leaking. We called *** and recommended he replace the power steering pump, power steering pressure line and the power steering return line. We told Mr. ******** that the repair would be $1,011.79 out the door after tax with a 1 year,12,000 mile warranty whichever comes first\. 12/8/2022 Mr. ********* called and said his power steering pump needed to be replaced again. We informed him that it was out of warranty but we would contact the manufacturer to get this taken care of for him. 12/9/2022 Mr. ********* called back and spoke with the assistant manager he then cussed out the assistant manager and started threatening him if he didn't fix his problem and continued to call non stop for an hour. Later that day he called back and spoke with me. He then called me many nasty names and threatened me. He has reached out on multiple social media forms slandering our name and making threats towards us. I informed Mr. ********* that due to the safety of me and my employees we should no longer continue to do business together.

[If you do not say why you are rejecting the company's response, BBB must close your complaint.]

    Complaint: 18566156

I am rejecting this response because: I reject the business owner's response; she is not being truthful. I was not made aware of the limited one warranty until after the work was completed by ****** Auto. I never called and threatened anyone at Johns Auto. I did state that I would be making a complaint to the BBB and that I would also be posting reviews on social media to make people aware that this repair shop is dishonest.

    Regards,
