Business ProfileforCincy’s Finest Auto

In July 2022 my husband and I sold a vehicle to Cincy‘s finest auto, whose owner is Tre S*****. We dealt directly with Tre. He agreed to pay $1300 for the vehicle. Due to the vehicle being in an accident, he said he would pay us once the vehicle was fixed and sold. My husband had had his vehicle detailed at this business previously and thought he could trust this business owner. After months of not hearing from him, we discovered that the vehicle had been sold in January 2023. we have contacted the police on two separate occasions. The first occasion we contacted them I believe in March 2023, to find if the vehicle had been sold which was verified based on the Vin number. At that point Tre S***** made an initial payment of $500. He was hostile and volatile and very aggressive. After a few more months and still no payment, we wrote a review of his business. that review was posted on June 29. On June 30 Tre S***** entered my husband’s place of business and confronted him about the review. At that point he agreed to pay the remaining $800 and we agreed to remove the review. We remove the review and Tre S***** with Cincy‘s finest auto signed a check for the remaining $800 and signed in the memo “final payment “. We cashed the check and thought it was done. On 7/3 we were notified that Tre S***** stopped payment on that check. We were then charged an additional $15 from our bank for a processing fee for the check having a stop payment. We received copies from our bank of the stop payment and a copy of the original check through the mail on July 6. We are still owed the remainder of what we agreed to sell the vehicle for plus the processing fee from our bank a total amount of $815. We contacted the police on July 6 to report that he stopped payment thinking that this could potentially be a criminal matter as well. We have had no luck in resolving getting our final payment.
