Between March and April of 2023, Garfield Low Cost Pharmacy aka Church Square Pharmacy, acquired the business of Parafill Pharmacy and its customers. I was a Parafill customer, and used to using their delivery services for my temperature controlled (refrigerated) medication. Parafill always confirmed with me when exactly they would be delivering my medication and WHERE they would be delivering (my home or work address). On April 11, 2023, Garfield Low Cost Pharmacy called me to schedule a delivery, but I was not able to answer or call them back to confirm said delivery. Per my Ring camera while I was gone, I found that the medication had been delivered in the early afternoon of April 12 when I was not home, nor had I confirmed the location or day/time of delivery with the pharmacy. The medication was delivered in a paper bag with no form of temperature control and left between my side screen door and house door on the hottest day of the year so far. The high on April 12 was 79 degrees F. By the time I was able to get to this medication, it had been in the heat too long to be deemed safe, and I disposed of the medication. I notified the pharmacy of this error, and they offered to replace with new if I provided them the original medication, which was unfortunately disposed of. Since, they have mailed me several bills for over $400 for the medication, although I asked to speak to a manager/billing manager regarding the issue. I have emailed the business and called at least a dozen times, asking to be contacted about this matter to have the bill written off due to their negligence, and cannot get a response, only more bills in the mail. If this matter is not handled immediately, I will be filing a claim in small claims court.
