I tried peer support services and had a peer named Tina. That was the worst experience ever in my entire recovery oriented life! I DON'T recommend this place just due to having someone so horrible, treating there clients like they're unworthy and using their vulnerability against them for insults - - she can't be working with people with mental health focuses and substance abuse early recovery or not. I'm demanding that she's fired and that's the only thing that would change this places outcome at getting more clients (retention). she yelled at me in public and exclaimed how I was lucky she even picked me up to take me somewhere and that she didn't have to be around me there and she didn't even want to do anything, this is sick how someone would do that. Mind you, we left.. Then in the car she yelled and screamed while I tried talking to her supervisor on the phone, she ran red lights and pulled over in the middle of a busy highway to get out and make a call. (I snapped a Picture because it was unbelievable!) She also threatened to kick me out of the vehicle and not drive me home. She didn't have to let me in her car or take me home, and I quote. She knows that I don't call her... she calls me. It's disgusting how she used my depression as an insult and further insulted me for other things I shared in confidence with obviously being judged by her after using it against me later. I pray that this place has her fired.. That's NOT okay! You can't do anything like that you're in his line of work. She's going to cause hurt, pain, triggering someone, relapse is always a possibility... And could all lead to worse things, and they're opening the door for it having her work there. She might have been drunk or high. What kind of supportive person does this? I took the certified peer Recovery Support course online, it's the first step to CPRS cerification. She couldn't have finished all the traininga and have the audacity to act this way EVER, she'll be terminated.
