I, a 49-yr old woman with a severe disability, contracted Antoine B****** to repair what was first thought to be water damage in my condo. My home owners insurance paid me to have a contractor do the repair. He started the work on 10/29/22. When he started the work, he discovered trusses and joyces that were broken causing my ceiling and kitchen cabinet to sag. He showed me and explained that he could just fix what was initially quoted or fix the cause. He explained that the ceiling and cabinet could fall, so I said to go ahead and fix it the right way. He found numerous other issues. Antoine suggested I file a new insurance claim which I did. My insurance wanted me to present it to my condo association, so I did. In the meantime, Antoine requested additional money for supplies and labor and I had to borrow money to pay him because I couldn't live with a hole in my kitchen and dining room ceiling. Antoine has a full-time job during the week, so he only came on weekends. After the hole was closed, he didn't come consistently and would say he was coming and then not show up. My condo association requested a more detailed invoice and receipts for materials. Antoine will not provide these. As of 1/16/23, he has not been back since 12/11/22 and he still needs to repair 4 or 5 broken trusses/joyces that were found while in the attic over my living room, bedroom, and kitchen, paint my kitchen and dining room, install dining room lights, install a brace to support my kitchen cabinet, and clean my carpet which he stained with plaster because he didn't put drop clothes down. I have paid him $6,236.17 and still owe him more, but I need the condo association to repay me for their part because I have no more money. He said he would wait, but he is not giving me what I need to get them to pay me. Antoine has 4 of my dining room lights, connectors for the lights, and the bracket for my cabinet. I NEED THIS WIORK FINISHED & I NEED ANTOINE'S RECEIPTS.
