I paid my balance from Verizon yet somehow they got my information and I am now in collections, AND VERIZON RETURNED my payment. This was over 6 months ago mind you that I paid Verizon off, they refunded me 3 days ago.. What if I had changed banks?Review from Kevin K

I received random texts demanding payment for ******* using different phone numbers to contact them at. If you visit their web address, https://**************/contact-us/ the phone number "Main: ************" isn't even in service. How sketchy are these people. I received a text message stating they were trying to collect a debt, but I don't owe a penny anywhere. I called about it and they want more personal info which I'm not about to give. I'm on a Do Not Call list and don't know how they got my number and asked why they would do something like that without confirming they're contacting the right person. Was told they use "Skip Tracers" and I responded that they aren't doing their job very well to give fraudulent numbers as owing money. After numerous calls, spoke with manager, Candace ******, who said she would remove my number. My problem is that they would just send out a text like that to someone without knowing if that person, in fact, owes anyone anything. Like we don't have enough stress in our lives without a place like this using these tactics.Review from Brett G

This company had some terrible business practices! They are contracted to do ********* **** ***** *********** However, I’ve received no letters, mail, emails or any other communication for the exception of a phone call to a family member who was told they were trying to collect bad debts. When I called I talked to the most unhelpful agent I’ve ever talked to Selena R. They give me no real information nor whom they represent, in fact it sounds like a totally scam, that someone is trying to pull out of a Nigerian princes account or something. Anyway, by the time we figured out what was happening they referred me back to my payroll company and expect all kinds of leg work on my end. They are rude, mean and most alarming they act and sound like some random scams that are not legitimate!Review from Nicole M

Got a letter saying I owe *** ******* *************. Never been there, never stood at a hotel, never had a credit card. Bunch of scammers. Letter is thrown out the window. Fix this company.Review from Robert H.

Submitted to CFPA: "I leased a TESLA from August 2017 to August 2020. I turned it in and completed the payments. Today, July 7th, 2023, I received a telephone call from "Denice Pride" and "Carmine Vincefora". Both insisted they were collecting my outstanding Tesla debt. Both stated that they work for: McCarthy Burgess & Wolff, in Bedford Ohio. They had all my personal information associated with Tesla. Because they have now moved from annoying e-mails to potentially harassing phone calls, I humbly request that you get involved as soon as possible to have them cease and desist such phone calls." This company buys information from Tesla about former Tesla customers/owners and then begins to harass them about "remaining balances due". What a scheme; what a scam! Totally rude company - I advise if you are harassed by them to file a complaint with your state attorney general - and confirm your rights - Fair Debt Collections Practices. They continue to try to collect a debt from me which is NOT valid, and cannot provide validation. It is difficult to get anyone to provide their name when you speak with them. I think they went out and found the RUDEST people to work for them...Denise I don't know her last name is the worst...I am paying them monthly but because I am not letting them pull monthly out of my account they call my phone being very rude and disrespectful....
