Went to a reds game with my family 7/12/25,
had paid parking passes for the Central river front garage,
we parked where we thought that was and where GPS took us.
There were no places to scan our passes or grab a ticket.
    There was reds murals everywhere,
so we thought nothing of it,
figured you scanned your pass on the way out of the garage.
We went on and enjoyed the game.
Get back to our vehicle and there’s a tow truck, he’s got the SUV up.
The 10 year old starts crying ”I’m scared”
    I’m not going to lie,
the Dad in my guy goes into full mode -
“Hey man! That’s our car! Stop, man”
    Driver doesn’t stop
    I’m pleading
“we’ve got kids, please don’t leave us here! “
    Again not going to lie….
    & I don’t blame him one bit,
if I had a good ankle I’d be right behind him. He chases this dude through the garage trying to get him to stop.
This guy “just doing his job” to feel like a real man I guess flips him off and keeps on going.
Leaving us with 2 children stranded in a parking garage in the middle of **********.
I reckon it was our fault for being in the wrong garage, but wouldn’t the decent thing have been to let us pay a drop fee?
We showed up when our vehicle was still in the spot! It hadn’t moved out yet and he didn’t care at all.
Then when I call to pick it up they tell me I have to leave him outside or I can pick it up Monday like they’re afraid of him, when they know they’re in the wrong & wanted to make more money off us.

On 2/25/2025, my friend parked her car at the lot across from **** in Cincinnati. There was a system error and the payment didn’t show online. Her car was gone. The owner of this towing company told us “the report was ran and her car was listed as not paid so he towed it.” 2/26/2025 my friend called the owner (Urban Sites) of the actual lot. She was told the car was towed without permission and they did NOT authorize him to tow it. Currently in the process of trying to reach them for a refund.
Side note; we’ve been in a bowling league for almost 2 months now. She parks in this lot every single time & there was one other time the system did this and guess what? It didn’t get towed! Probably because it wasn’t authorized by the owner of the lot. Many people around that area have mentioned this man towing cars for no reason other than to get money. I helped my friend out with the payment because who just has that kind of money laying around when you moved here from out of town?

This parking lot is set up for patrol. We are contracted to come in and run the lot and tow what is not paid to park. If you knew there was a system error you should of not parked in lot at this time. The other cars that was on site at the same time you were followed the rules and paid to park and did not have an error. Urban sites does not need to give us permission to tow since it is set up as patrol. Your tow bill was not 160.00 Towing fees are set up by the state of Ohio O.R.C CODE 4513.60. It states we charge 129.00 for the tow 17.00 storage plus tax adds up to 157.39 and this is what you paid.

Sorry for rounding up because I couldn’t remember the exact change. I spoke with the owner again & they are supposed to approve tows. This is coming from Urban Sites. Therefore, I trust their word over a shady company. Again, you’ve towed several cars that shouldn’t have been, therefore it’s not the first time.

I am writing to file a complaint about my distressing experience with Actual Service Towing on September 13-14, 2024. I had parked my *** **** in a lot and paid for parking via text until 2 PM on September 14. However, when I returned the next morning around 9 AM, my car was gone. Fearing theft, given the known risks with *** models, I was deeply alarmed as this is my only transportation to my job as a Title I autism teacher.

I approached a tow truck driver at the lot who confirmed my car had been towed despite my parking being valid. He directed me to Actual Service Towing at 816 Sycamore St. Upon arrival, the company was closed, and when I finally reached the manager by phone, she yelled at me and dismissed my concerns. She refused to meet me until 10 AM, even after I explained I had important engagements that morning. When the manager arrived, I witnessed her berating another customer. When it was my turn, I showed her the receipt proving I had paid for parking until 2 PM, but she refused to acknowledge it and became increasingly hostile, accusing me of trespassing and yelling at me to leave. Despite remaining calm, she escalated the situation, and I had no choice but to call the police.

As a young Black woman, I was terrified to involve the police, but I had no other options. When they arrived, they mentioned confusion about a report of a "hysterical white woman," further adding to the distress. The manager still refused to acknowledge my receipt, but I was eventually able to retrieve my car. Since then, I have noticed mechanical issues with my vehicle.

I request that the BBB investigate Actual Service Towing for their unprofessional, discriminatory behavior and unfair towing practices. This experience left me deeply shaken, and I believe others could be similarly mistreated.

The customer was addressed on the phone that the office opens at 10am.  This was told to her several times.  She was also told that she would need to provide proof of payment that was done via text to pay.  The screen shoot that she showed me did not have a time stamp so I asked for further information.  At which time I was assisting other customers when Ms. ***** took it upon herself to interfer with getting others out.  I had asked her to leave until she was able to provide proof the car being paid prior to be towed.  Furthermore I contacted the company in which she parked at to verify this payment and returned her car to her at no fee.  There was no call or information claiming that she was now having any problems with her car until this complaint.  Which given that this car was towed on Dollies, Meaning that none of the vehcile tires were on the ground during transport.  This claim is simply unjustified.  I have went above and beyond to assist her during the time.  Until Ms. ***** become unwilling to provided the information and become a problem while I was trying to assist other customers.  I asked her to leave and when she refused, I locked her in the hallway that she could have exited at anytime.  I did nothing outside of trying to get the information needed to clear the mistake in towing her Kia.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

Thank you for your response, but it does not resolve my complaint, as the claims presented are false and fail to acknowledge key details of the incident.

First, I provided proof of payment via text with a clear timestamp showing I had paid for parking until 2 PM on September 14. I have attached the screenshot, which I had already shown to your manager at the time of the dispute. Despite this valid proof, your manager refused to acknowledge it, continuing to claim I hadn’t paid and escalating the situation unnecessarily.

Additionally, I did not interfere with any other customers. I was simply speaking to my friend on the phone when the manager began yelling at me, making me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. It’s important to note that I never refused to leave; I only called the police when I was denied access to my car despite providing proof of payment.

While it’s true my car was eventually returned without a fee, the situation should never have escalated to this level. Your manager’s behavior was unprofessional, and her treatment of me was unacceptable. Moreover, since retrieving my car, I have experienced mechanical issues, which I believe are related to the towing. Whether the vehicle was transported on dollies or not does not change the fact that problems arose after the tow.

I expect a more accurate and respectful resolution to this matter. Please find attached the screenshots of my payment for your reference.

At Your Service Towing illegally towed my vehicle from *** **** *** ** today at 9:24AM. When I got the notification from ****** that my vehicle theft alarm was going off, I went to the lot and my vehicle was gone. I called them to ensure my vehicle hadn't been towed and the EXTREMELY rude lady at the front desk informed me that they did in fact have my vehicle. When asked why she rudely stated that their was a sign posted in the far right of the parking lot stating you couldn't park in the lot before 4PM. I then stated there was no such sign and she went on to say the web link provided for payment states the same on the website, in which I informed her it did not. She then abruptly (rudely) hung up. I went to retrieve my vehicle and showed her the pictures of the 3 signs posted in the parking lot, aside from the 2 signs that provided their information. One sign provided the information to pay, the second sign was completely blank on both sides, and the third sign located on the sidewalk stated $5 for evening and weekends. On the completely opposite side of the parking lot there was a sign facedown that I had to pick up to take a picture of that displayed the rates for a certain number of hours. After viewing the pictures, she stated she would reach out to the owner and have the signs posted and proceeded to ask me for the $157.00 cash payment to release my vehicle. Per the ORC 4513.601, those signs were to be posted BEFORE my vehicle was towed, which means At Your Sevice Towing took illegal possession of my vehicle. (In the process of filing a police report now.) I then called back and spoke with Carl (manager) to try and resolve the situation and he rudely stated that the web link states the lot is monthly subscription only and if I wanted a refund I need to contact the owner of the lot and hung up in my face. Again, the web link provided at the lot rather via "scan code" or text doesn't state none of the above.

This is a reserved lot until 4pm.  There is a sign in the lot that state evenings and weekends 4pm. When *** ***** attempted to pay for parking it stated that the lot was closed.  Which therefore would not allow her to pay for parking.  We are contracted to tow for this lot Operated by **** *** *******.  No refunds or other discounts will be provided and further communication should be with **** *** ******* Company and ** **** who manages this lot after 4pm.  The towing of *** ***** vehicle was with cause since this is a reserved parking lot and which did not have the requirements to park there.

The payment sign states enforced 24/7 with no indication of any specific time it isn't, and when I went to pay it allowed me to enter my tag number and then proceeded to load (continuously) when submitted but never displayed lot was closed. Also, in their response they specifically state supposed businesses whom they advise I reach out to that manages the lot after 4PM, my vehicle was towed on a Tuesday at 9:24 AM, who manages the lot during that time and gave authorization to tow my vehicle? Lastly, as the responder stated the sign states evening and weekend rates at $5, BUT it also includes hourly rates as displayed in the photos I provided in my initial complaint. No where on any sign in the lot does it state anything in reference to "No parking" at anytime throughout the day.

Again, per the ORC 4513.601, At Your Sevice Towing took illegal possession of my vehicle.

I have not spoken to anyone from the parking lot/garage as it hasn't been disclosed of whom manages the parking lot Mon-Fri before 4PM. Also, I paid in cash as they didn't accept credit/debit cards. Attached is a receipt for payment received and also states my car was impounded - which is not accurate as no law or regulation was broken. This doesn't include the ATM fee I received from using their ATM that they have stationed right next to the front desk or another miscellaneous fee I received in the amount of $3.50.

I parked in guest parking of ***** ***** Apartment Complex On Slot 40, when I noticed that my car was missing, the guy told me that I was parked in slot number 10 , I told him that was not true, and that there is 24 hour surveillance. I then informed him that there are 4 guest parking spots, and even if I did park on slot #10, that is a guest parking spot anyway. The he proceeded to tell me that this apartment complex doesn't have any guest parking lots. That is factually untrue. He said to call in the morning to speak to a manager. So I called in the morning and the lady won't let me speak to a manager and told me that the property manager called it in, but won't give me the name of who and what the property management company was called. Nothing but lies from this company. I read other ****** reviews that this company and they ate terrible.

As Stated to the Customer when He called that the complaint would need to go to the Property Manager.  He was parked in the Lower Level in Spot 10 as the Property refers to this as.  He was parked at 518 Riddle Road and they do not have any guest parking.  Since the Owner of the Property was the person that requested the removal of this vehicle. We will not issue any refunds.  They will need to contact the person that gave them permission to park there, or the Property Manager of *** ****** **.

She just stated that the apartment doesn't have any guest parking, but as you can see the attached image again. That's is a lie. It clearly states that there is IN FACT guest parking and the business admitted that the car was parked on spot 10, as the sign indicates. Guests can park on spot 10. This company contracts with the building, I do not believe that they don't know the buildings policy. It is clear as day. They are towing vehicles knowing full well that goes against the building's policy. Do you have any call logs? How do I know you didn't just make it up that someone called? You have 1/5 stars on ****** with complaints like this all the time.

On 11/4/2023, my car was towed from the Walgreen's parking lot in Clifton, OH by the At Your Service towing company. While I was not a customer at Walgreen's, I was unaware that I could not park there because there was no visible signage from the parking lot entrance I came in through via William Howard Taft Dr. When my car was towed after 1.5 hrs being there, I had a very difficult time locating a number to call. All the way toward the front of the Kroger parking lot, a sign was located with a number in tiny print for At Your Service. However, as stated, this was in the Kroger parking lot, not the Walgreen's lot.

After getting a ride to the towing business location and explaining that there was no visible signage from this entrance to employee Chrissa S*******, she assured us that there was a sign about towing posted on every pole in the parking lot and that there were plentiful signs at every Walgreen's entrance. This is absolutely not true and we went back and took pictures (attached). In the Walgreen's lot, there are no visible signs from the William Howard Taft Dr. entrance. There is a very faded out towing sign on the portion of Walgreen's facing Kroger, and one legible sign hidden behind two poles (again on this side of the building, not visible to the entrance I came in). There was one other sign on the complete opposite side of the building away from the parking area at Walgreen's by the dumpster. How convenient.

The company was in direct violation of ORC 4513.601, which states "The owner of the private property posts on the property a sign, that is at least eighteen inches by twenty-four inches in size, that is visible from all entrances to the property, and that includes all of the following information..." Link: ****************

The signage was sparse and not visible from "all entrances." Thus, I was illegally towed and would like my money back.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/06/2023

There are signs located at each entrance of the lot and throughout the lot.  The sign that is attached is faded at this happens over time and will be corrected.  The lot is Krogers lot and it is for customer parking only.  This is why the car was towed.  Consumer was not a customer of Walgreens nor Kroger.  Therefore the tow fee will not be refunded

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Thank you for the pictures. Neither of us saw the small sign at the William Howard Taft Dr. entrancewhen parking or going back to look around. We did see the signs on the other building walls away from that entrance. I will resolve the BBB complaint since the picture does show one sign at that entrance.

I would like to note that it is very difficult to see because it is so low to the ground where a driver would not be looking and it is not facing you before you turn right in the entrance. The sign should be directly facing the windshield before taking the turn in (like how a stoplight would be clearly visible in front of you) and at eye height so it is clear to drivers and passengers. Or it should be raised up to eye level height and on both sides of the entrance. The print is very small and difficult to read even for someone as young as myself, so even if you catch a glimpse of the sign, you are likely not able to read it. The signs should he enlarged and tow signs should be in the actual parking area nearest William Howard Taft Dr. as well as on that side of the building that faces the road. If you missed that small sign at the entrance and look around in that parking area of Walgreens without driving around other parking areas in the lot, there wouldn't be any indication you cannot park there. Most people are probably missing that sign since it is so low and small and right when you turn in and making the same mistake I did. Had another sign been there, I would not have parked.

Parked my vehicle in their lot. I’ve parked here several times in the past and very familiar with the area and the requirements
    After going for the ticket
It was placed in the front driver seat windshield
    We took a picture

After we left an event and returned to our car our vehicle was gone

We called the number on the sign
The tow representative was very rude (and later apologized for being rude)
    I remained nice

    My husband was extremely upset

We have no idea how our ticket was all the way under our seat when we turned to our vehicle at the tow lot

We did call CPS and there was nothing they could do

We paid cash to have our vehicle released

We paid for the ticket and we believe someone entered our vehicle and threw the ticket under the seat just so that they can make money
However we did the right thing and followed directions admits displayed all over their parking lot

I have attached our paid ticket

    We would like a refund

I have located the call for this vehicle and Since the ticket was not displayed on the dash of the car.  It was called in by the lot employee.  There for the tow fee with our company stands. If you would like to reach out to the company that manages that lot it would be PLM Parking.  Since the ticket would have to visible from looking into the car from the outside.  If the ticket is not visible to vehicle is subject to tow.  Therefore at this time there will be no refund given.

after speaking to the Cincinnati police department this is a practice well known that the tow company has done in the past

there’s several complaints online and various social media platforms of this same situation and they repeatedly try to find ways to “earn” money off of patrons and locals. The efforts company’s like this go through should be unlawful and they will be eventually held accountable for such unfair behavior and activities

I was sitting in a completely empty parking lot, eating my food. My window was rolled down, I was visible. The tow truck driver of this company rolled past me and looked at me and didn’t say anything. 20 seconds later, I see him turn around and lower his ramp, and was seeming to back it up into my car to hook me up and tow me WHILE I WAS VISIBLY IN MY CAR!!!!! I quickly started my car up then he sped off so I followed him to get his license plate number and other information. I pulled up on the side of him in the middle of the street and asked him was he going to tow my car while I was sitting in it and he said yes! I wasn’t supposed to be in that parking lot. Mind you its 2 empty cars parked further up in the parking lot and he rode right past them as he was getting ready to tow me WHILE I WAS SITTING IN MY CAR!!!! I reached out to the business and tried to talk to a supervisor and the lady that claims she was a supervisor was no help and just as rude as the driver, and was trying to basically protect the driver, and not listen to anything I said. This place is bad business. The pictures I posted are the 2 cars that were in the same parking lot I was. He did not tow those cars.

I am sorry that this happened.  When the customer called I was not aware of all of the details.  After seeing the photos of the parking lot that she was in.  I have a better understanding of what may of happened.  I dispatched drivers to the ****** to tow a number of Vehicles.  I was not aware that a driver was in this lot.  As I am in an office.  I was under the impression that this happened in the ****** parking lot.  However this happened in a different lot that the driver should not have been in.  Our company will be dealing with the driver in this incident.  Furthermore since I was not aware that this did not happen in the ****** lot.  That is why I was trying to explain what I believed happened.  We are working to rectify this whole situation.

On Friday July 28th we parked in the parking lot at **** ********. We entered our license plate # into the system, placed our ticket on the dash and left. When we returned our car was gone. The car had been towed to At Your Service claiming no ticket was displayed. When we arrived at the location, we opened the door and located the ticket on the seat. It was QUITE OBVIOUS the ticket had fallen from the dash We showed it to the person working there expecting to leave with our car. They refused to release the car until we paid $157. After some ridiculous back and forth, we decided to pay them and deal with this on Monday with people we assumed would be more reasonable. We assume incorrectly. Crystal repeated the justification that the ticket was not on the dash and therefore they had a right to tow our car. Our license number was in their computer system. They SAW the ticket that shows we paid them to park in that lot. It is a contract, isn't it? We acknowledge the ticket fell off the dash. Crystal told us the only person who could refund our money was Helen at Arnold S Levine's office, as they own the lot. We went to see Helen and she told us that a) they don't receive money for the tows so they couldn't refund us and b) that lot doesn't tow, they only "boot" cars there. This is so clearly a scam. We paid, by license plate number, to park in a lot. They have proof in their computer system and they have physically seen the ticket. Looking at the NUMEROUS reviews online, this is a well established racket. They take only cash for a reason. Given that the lot is owned by an attorney, I doubt litigation will get me anywhere, but I would like some assistance in getting the $157 we paid to have our car STOLEN from a parking lot. They have electronic verification of our payment to park there. That can NOT be legal - whether they think "you have to have it on the dash" is justification or not. Would appreciate any help you can give.

When *** **** came to get his receipt on Monday morning. I also showed him the photos that were taken before we touched the car.  We are not able to access the machine to see whom had paid or not paid.  The pass was not displayed per instructions displayed in the lot and on the ticket.  We can not open the car to check for tickets.  Since the ticket was not displayed *** **** was told he would have to pay the impound fees.  Therefore no refund shall be issused

I parked in a parking lot near ********* Ice cream in Cincinnati Ohio on 7/12/23 at 7:15 pm. The lot is through passport parking zone *****.
I had parked my car and tried paying for parking, the app was malfunctioning. I have screenshots of the app malfunctioning and not letting me pay for parking. After walking away to receive signal, one of the tow trucks picked up my car and refused to put it down until I paid $70 cash. I had to walk over a mile to find an ATM and get the cash even after notifying the tow driver that my app was not letting me pay. After pulling out $80 cash I handed it to him and he gave me $4 back and insisted he was being generous and refused to give me a receipt of any kind. After dropping my car in a reckless manner he drove off and I can’t contact the company because he was the one who answered the phone and offered me ZERO assistance. This company is beyond unprofessional and shady. I have heard about them on many occasions, always offering different dollar amounts to drop a car. I was treated unfairly and unjust. As I said I have screenshots to prove that the app was not letting me pay. I was this problem resolved because this company cannot keep getting away with this. I took the screenshot after having the argument with the employee.
