1 starI'd like to make it abundantly clear that my complaint is not with the local store that I purchased my tires from, but Tire Discounters as a company. Their website is misleading about rebates and pricing. I purchased four *********** tires, only choosing Tire Discounters because the rebate price put them lower in cost than other places around. I was also brought in by the free alignment and oil change that they offer with the tire purchase. I did see a "special deals" box on the "My Quote" section of the website that listed $100 back if you used your Tire Discounters credit card. I don't have one, so I paid no mind to that section. At the bottom, though, where they give you the final estimate, they listed the estimated price, and directly below, a "price after mail-in rebate." No asterisks or anything at all indicating that the "mail-in" rebate was the same thing as the $100 back if you use their credit card. My assumption, as someone who works at a financial institution, is that $100 back "if you use your Tire Discounters credit card" would be a cash back reward, not a mail-in rebate. When I called the corporate customer service number to ask why I wasn't eligible for the rebate, I was told that the mail-in rebate is the $100 back when you use their credit card. Deceptive to say the least. They present it as two separate, unrelated offers. I was told that their legal team had reviewed it and found the language to be legally sound. Legal does not equal ethical. I was offered an additional free oil change to make up for my "confusion," as their customer service so nicely put it. I'm not confused, I was misled due to poor marketing. I want the $100 that was advertised to me when I booked the appointment, not another free oil change that does me no good. I couldn't even use the "included" free oil change because they don't do it at the time they do the tires. They make you schedule a separate appointment. I'm leaving for vacation soon, and they had no openings prior.Tire Discounters, Inc.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and feedback with us about our website.
Weve reviewed the calls you had with our team and carefully looked over the screenshot you provided of the My Quote page on our website. The Special Deals section on that page is designed to list all available promotions that apply to the selected tires. In this instance, aside from the free alignment and free oil change that come standard with every 4-tire purchase, the only additional available offer displayed was the $100 mail-in rebate available when using a Tire Discounter credit card (referred to in the Green section of the screenshot you provided). The price displayed after mail-in rebates at the bottom of the quote page reflects the total price customers will ultimately have paid for their tires after all available offers are applied, including the current mail-in-rebate for those that use a Tire Discounters credit card. We understand how important clarity is around promotional offers, thus we have shared your feedback with our marketing team for consideration.
Unfortunately your purchase did not meet the criteria with our financial partner for the $100 mail-in-rebate offer detailed online and on the quote page (as you did not use a Tire Discounters credit card for form of payment). Though we are not able to provide you with a mail-in-rebate debit card, as that is an offer provided by an outside financial entity that requires the criteria to be met, we did offer you a complimentary oil change voucher as a gesture of goodwill, which you had declined. The offer still stands for the free oil change voucher that may be used through February of 2026. We are honored you chose us to keep you safe on the road and would be happy to help schedule the free oil change for you.Review fromRegan B

1 starI brought my vehicle in for an oil change a few weeks ago and requested they look at my brakes and change my cabin filter. They had my car for 4+ days. They charged me $1500 for brake work, the oil change and changing my filter.Four days later my drain tube for the heater box was clogged and water started leaking into the passenger floorboard. We took it to another mechanic who told us the cabin filter we paid for was not changed, it was still the old one, and it had a lot of leaves in it.Instead of changing the filter and alerting us to the problem, they either didnt look at all or they saw it was dirty and left it, potentially causing this clog and a $900 repair on top of the $1500 I spent at your store. The mechanic at the second auto place suspected that when the filter was removed, it allowed the stuff stuck in the filter to clog our system, because "nothing get could past it unless it's pulled out and put back in."I spoke to the stores general manager (*****) who refused to do anything beyond giving me my $20 back for the filter they didn't change. This is after he told me hed call me the next day, then let 3 days go by. I had to call him twice just to get an answer.I spoke to corporate about this issue (it took a week of me emailing and messaging them on ** multiple times to finally get a call, this morning) and was again offered a lackluster apology and $20 for their gross lack of professionalism.Again, this was after my many years bringing my business to Tire Discounters, another $1500 spent on brakes and $900 spent on this secondary repair. Thanks for nothing.Tire Discounters, Inc.

We are truly sorry to hear about your recent experience and understand how frustrating unexpected repairs can be, especially in the summer heat.
For the sake of transparency, wed like to clarify a few important details. Clogs in the ** drain system generally develop gradually due to environmental factors such as humidity and debris accumulation over time and are not typically caused by a single missed service. Additionally, the vehicle was not returned to us for a diagnostic evaluation. Instead, further work was performed at a third-party shop. Thus, without the opportunity to inspect the issue firsthand, we were unable to assess the cause or offer potential solutions at the time.
At this time, we have not been provided with written documentation from the third-party shop identifying a specific cause or confirming a connection to any services we performed. Because of this and the lack of being able to perform a diagnostic review, we are unable to amend our original offer.
We genuinely value your business, and we remain committed to supporting our customers whenever possible. If you obtain additional documentation from the third-party shop, please dont hesitate to reach out.Review fromSusan

1 starThis company with steal from you. I dropped my car off to have the tires balanced and an alignment done. The manager, ****, sold me the 3 year plan for the alignment services. I picked my car up and paid for all the services I had asked for. They did not balance my tires. I had to take it the next day to another tire service to get them balanced. I was not returning to Tire Discounters except to ask for credit for the tire balancing they charged me for and didnt do. I also asked the manager to only charge me for a one time alignment and not the 3 year package as wild not be returning to Tire Discounters for any service. The manager, ****, told me he put the credit through but it had to be done through the corporate office and I should see the credit in about 2 weeks on my credit card. No credit came through so I went back and he said he would call and check on it, that the person was very busy and probably had not gotten to it yet. After another 2 weeks and no credit I sent an email to corporate office in ********, **. No response, sent another email, no response, called and left message - no return call. This initial date of service was the end of March. I would have followed up but had surgery and have been sick and in hospital a couple times since then. Getting my credit would be nice and help pay on doctor bills!!!Tire Discounters, Inc.

1 starI had a screw in the top of my rear right tire on 6-13 after the ******* ******* game in Cincinnati. I recently bought 4 new tires from ***** Auto in Hamilton, which is an outstanding business. They were closed on saturday. I took my car to tire discounters in fairfield township and dropped it off that friday night, across from ******* on princeton rd. I drove from cincinnati with the screw in my tire, dropped it off, and had my wife pick me up. I called this awful business saturday morning, and was told I needed a new tire! I was in a pinch because I needed to drive to Akron on father's day. So I agreed...never believed that I needed a replacement. Luckily, since the tires were new, I have a replacement deal with ***** Auto, but now I need the old tire to take back, so ***** Auto can give me a refund. On 6-16, I call Tire discounters and ask if I can come and get the tire. They say " we have to look for it and when we find it, we will call". I say ok. I don't hear from them. I call again on 6-16, and they hadn't look, but will look after hours. On 6-17, I call again, and its the same rhetoric. So I drive to tire discounters after work and talk to 2 workers, and ask for the tire. They say they have to look for it. After an hour, **** says they can't find it, even though no one has picked up the old tires. I ask for the general manager's number. Manager gives it to me. I leave. After hours on 6-17 at 630p, a worker calls and says he found the tire. But now it has 3 punctures in the tire. The tire only had 1 single nail/screw. This business has shady practice dealings and I don't recommend this place of business.Tire Discounters, Inc.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns with us. We truly value your business and appreciate the opportunity to address what happened. We apologize for any confusion—it was never our intention to do anything underhanded or misleading. At the time of your service, we were unaware of your desire to keep the old tire. As a result, our technician followed standard procedure and punctured the tire multiple times before placing it in our used tire bin. This is done to prevent theft—since the bin is kept outside the building—and to ensure used tires aren’t resold.Review fromQ.S.

1 starComplaint Title: Improper Disposal of Tires Under Warranty Full Reimbursement Denied Complaint Description:My tires were improperly discarded by Tire Discounters despite a valid warranty and my explicit request to retain them. As a result, the warranty became void, and Im forced to purchase new replacement tires out-of-pocket. I was only offered $132 for four nearly new tires, despite having provided all necessary documentation. The replacement cost for the same tires, including a new warranty, totaled $996.41. I am requesting full reimbursement for this amount, as I would not have incurred this cost had the original tires been handled properly. This issue has gone unresolved for nearly two years, and all attempts to reach a fair resolution have failed.Desired Resolution:Full reimbursement of $996.41, representing the retail price of the replacement tires with warranty.Tire Discounters, Inc.

We sincerely apologize for the error in disposing of your tires and for any inconvenience this may have caused. We understand how frustrating this situation must be, and we truly regret the oversight. The tires that were removed were covered by a 40,000-mile tread-life warranty through the manufacturer. Based on the odometer reading from your original purchase invoice and the reading at the time of your service with Tire Discounters, we calculated a refund for the remaining mileage. If you have documentation from the manufacturer indicating that a higher refund would be warranted under the mileage warranty, we would be happy to review it. Otherwise, we believe the compensation provided is fair based on the available information.Q.S.

1 starWhy is Tire Discounters selling 3 year old tires as "New" product? I purchased 4 ******* P4 tires yesterday and when I got home realized they were manufactured in Dec/2021 and January 2022. Most reputable tire installers advise to replace tires when the tread wear requires or 6 years from the manufacture date. Regardless of where old unused tires are stored there is the possibility they could deteriorate quicker than expected. The manager at Eastgate also said they did not have any P4's made in the last 12 months and that the model was discontinued. I returned the car and instead bought 4 ******** tires made in 2024 at a higher ($150) cost. Today I checked with *******, and the P4 tires are still being manufactured.Tire Discounters, Inc.

1 starDo not come to the Tire Discounters on Winton Road. The front desk mechanic is taking advantage of new customers. They are not upfront with what is the actual issue with your vehicle. Save yourself the headache and some money. Do not do business with this establishment. Their customer service is disgraceful.Tire Discounters, Inc.

I originally came to Tire Discounters to have a professional inspect noise coming from my vehicle while the wheels were in motion. I explained to the front desk tech what I was experiencing and how an automotive repair shop I consulted with suggested new tires. Instead of Tire Discounters doing their own due diligence in diagnosing the actual issue with my vehicle, new tires were installed as I waited with my two younger children (under 5) for three hours. Once the tech ran my credit card information, he then informed me of the exact issue with a snarky comment that the other repair shop should have known {that} while he proceeds to quote an additional $400 for a wheel barring. There also was mention that I didnt need new tires at all. Realizing that I had been taken advantage was mentally debilitating, but to add insult to injury, other patrons witnessed the series of events and where in awe at the lack of integrity and professionalism that was being exhibited. I left Tire Discounters with the same car issues I came in with but this time I was out of $700. Tire Discounters was the last place I thought would treat their customers in this manner. Please advise an explanation. Thanks again for your help in this matter.Review fromCharles A

1 starI took my **** ****** to the Hamilton, Ohio shop on Winford Ave. on 2/14/2025 for an oil change. After I got home and checked the oil, it showed it to be extremely dirty. The oil change was either never done, or they put dirty oil in the car. I called the shop about this and they wanted to look at the car and I told them i will not be inconvenienced by this any longer. I have 4 cars and none of them will ever go to a tire discounters again! I have pictures of this and am also willing to send them if you need me to. This is unacceptable! I used to praise tire discounters to others and for them to do something like this is extremely unacceptable. I will no longer go to a tire discounters for my 4 cars. I will let others know what this shop did and also report this to the BBB.Tire Discounters, Inc.

1 starI paid to have my tires rotated and they didn't do it. But they said they did. I know they didn't because I marked each rim and I watched closely in the waiting room looking into the shop.Tire Discounters, Inc.
