Date of payment: 3-1-23 Date of surgery:3-1-23 Amount: 2250 I went in for a surgery called a Blepharaplasty from doctor ***** ******. At the pre-op appointment, ****** explained what to expect. He informed me that retraction of the eye was the only problem that would rise from the surgery. He also explained he would make the incision along the bottom lid line. He explained I would be healed in less than three weeks. Surgery was performed on the 8th of March. I went back on the 14th of March for follow up. I told the doctor the incision was way lower than he told me he was going to cut on my eyes. Doctor told me my eyelids were always like that. I told him of how dark circles under my eyes were new. Doctor said my eyes were always that dark. I was given a steroid to use. Pharmacist instructed to use for only 7 days because of its strength. I went back two more times complaining of the same problems of size of lid and darkness. On the last visit, ****** said "Sorry you're not happy, there is nothing I can do." He told me to continue using the steroid on my eye even thought the pharmacist warned me of prolonged use would thin the skin. He said "You want your lid to be thinner don't you." I went to a dermatologist to bring down the discoloration of my eyes. I spent almost 1000 dollars. I went to another doctor for a 2nd surgery to try to fix the lid size for over 7000. The reason for my complaint is the doctor cut in a different area of my eye causing a enlarged eyelid, I also had a very dark undereye until laser treatment from a dermatologist. I believe the doctor knew there could be discoloration of the lid from surgery. I also believe he made the incision in a much lower location than he told me causing a deformity in my lower eyelid. He also gave me bad medical advice by telling me to continue use of a steroid that could thin my skin. If i had been prewarned of known he wouldn't make the incision where he told me, I would have never had surgery.
