    I dropped my vehicle off at Fix it with Fred on 5/24/2023 at 7:50am. The guy I spoke with name was Ty *****. He came out, took pictures of my car and said that my car was all checked in and that he was going to call me when they are done running test. I said ok that’s fine. A couple hours go by and I called up there, spoke with Ty once again, asking him how things were going and he told me that everything was fine, engine and transmission but they couldn’t quite figure out why it was having the rough idling and stalling issue so they were going to keep testing. At 5:29pm, I called and spoke with Ty and asked him if they were going to keep my car and that’s when he told me yea because they couldn’t figure out what was going on, I said ok no problem. Not one time during the conversation did he mention about any fees. On 5/25/2023, I go to the shop to check in my car. As I’m standing at the desk talking to Ty, I asked him if they ran any test on my fuel and he said no because my car starts up and I’m like ok. So I’m asking him what test have they ran on my car because it’s been 24hrs and they still didn’t know what was wrong. Now, Ty tells me that 2 different mechanics thinks it’s my engine and the other thinks it’s my transmission so when I Beckham questioning him about what he spoke about the day before and how now it’s either or is when Ty began getting irritated. I told Ty that I would like to take my car elsewhere to get it looked it and that’s when he stated that I could take my car for 184.39 and I’m asking what is that for and he said for the test they ran. I pay the 184.39, get my car and leave. I then take my car to another mechanic and he puts his scanner on my car and immediately knew that all 4 cylinders was blown and I had a cracked motor mount. I called Fix it with Fred and once again asked what test did they run and he couldn’t tell me so my mechanic proceeds to explain what he found and Ty hung up the phone. Very unprofessional

    I took my car to this place to have the car door lock looked at and possibly replaced, I was told a few days earlier that they would do a safety inspection of my car, I never requested this service I was just told they would do it. On Monday they sent me a list of all the things wrong with my car from not having an oil change sticker on my windshield to alternator drive belt wearing. I instructed them to replace the alternator drive belt, rotors and replace brake pads. For a maximum of 4 hours of work they charged about $600.00 in labor, while parts was also about $600.00 plus they charged me $61.83 for the safety inspection I never requested. This place is a ripoff business and I advise everyone to stay clear of this business, before you are given the business too. I had to give this place one star because this site won't let you give 0 or negative stars

    ****, I'm sorry that you were so dissatisfied that you left us a 1 star review. I'd like to timeline the events from your service visit from our perspective. When you brought your Kia Optima in, you asked us to provide an estimate for some malfunctioning lock cylinders and to inspect your vehicle to make sure that the rest of the vehicle was good. We checked your vehicle in, and you signed the estimate for $73.75 and we emailed you a PDF of that original receipt ($61.83 plus tax and fees). We did a digital vehicle inspection and texted you the results. You called in, talked with Ty, and authorized all 4 Brake Pads & Rotors and Serpentine Belt Replacement. The price was given to you at that time. The rear brakes on your Kia Optima aren't conventional rear brakes. You have to take suspension arms off to remove the rotors, so we quoted you more labor on your estimate. Replacing all 8 brake pads, all 4 rotors, and the serpentine belt on your vehicle requires more than 4 hours of labor. We completed the services that you authorized, and you picked your vehicle up. Then, you left us a 1 star review on Google and the BBB. You called us because the brakes were making noise. We asked you to bring the vehicle back in because our brakes have a 24-month, 24,000-mile warranty on them. We wanted to make sure that they were ok, and replace them if needed, even though you left us a 1-star review. We found that one of your Brake Calipers needed to be replaced. You authorized us to replace the caliper. We fixed it and gave the vehicle back to you. Ty and I (Fred) both thought you were happy with what we have done for you. Again, I'm sorry that you were dissatisfied. We will continue to take great care of you and earn a 5-star review ?????
