    I cannot get in touch with anyone at EP Properties. I call and leave voicemail messages but no one ever calls back. I'm trying to get in touch with them as I was told they would not accept my 30-day notification for breaking my lease. My husband and I have lived in this complex for 16 years and very recently found out we had been willed my deceased mother's house. When I did get in touch with one individual and I told her that we need to break our lease she replied that I should have thought about my mother dying before I signed the lease. Not only was that very rude and inconsiderate, but, how was I suppose to know the exact day and time of my mother's passing? I just want to speak with the owner of the company and explain why we need to break our lease, explain the length of time we have lived at this complex (they are now the 3rd owners) and find out why the lease states one thing but the employees say something completely different. I don't want to abandon the lease.

    I have been homeless since May 2021. I contacted EP Rentals about an apartment they had available in Kent,OH. I spent my last $50 that week to pay the application fee just to be told they rented their last units 2 days before they took my money. That was back in October or November. Just recently they reached out to me to say they had a unit for me. I told them I was working with the ******* ****** *** to cover moving in expenses and that I needed them to fill out a document and send it in. They said they would. Well that was 3 weeks ago and the CAC informed me that they never did. And now once again they have no unit available. Now my housing voucher is about to run out and I'm screwed.
