    I recently moved to the The Commons at Canal Winchester. I went to look. I received my key on the 21st of October.October 13th- Prior to moving in , I was assured that the apartment would be clean and ready for my appointments move in date. No one from the management team took me to the apartment for a proper tour. The key was given to me and I went to look at the unit. When I got there the apartment was in the process of being painting. The Commons offer valet trash pickup. The lease states that trash cans are provided for the valet service. I have yet to receive my trash can, I’ve called numerous times about it but there’s always some excuse every time. Upon moving in, I noticed that the thermostat was not working, so I called the office for maintenance to fixed the issue. The kitchen cabinets and shelving are old and falling apart. Some of cabinet doors does not close properly. The cabinet under the sink is sunk in due to water damage. Instead of replacing it, it was painted over to look new. After of a week of fully moving in I noticed roaches in the kitchen sink and bathroom. The roaches are out during the day which means that the apartment is infested. Call the rental office regarding the issue I was told by one of the employees that someone might have recently moved out around my unit so that might be the reason why the roaches are coming through the cracks of my unit. They will see what they can do about it. I am paying over $1000 a month for this apartment I should not be sharing it with roaches. I want the complex to terminate my lease without penalty because they failed the their obligation as my landlord because my experience has been nothing but terrible. I have not even fully unpacked and I’m ready to leave. It has not even been a month of living there and I hate ever second of it.I honestly regret moving at the Commons at Canal Winchester.Now I have pack all of my belongings on bags to prevent roach from getting in.
