  In May 2023, BBB contacted Anytime Garage Door regarding claims in its advertising.
  
  The business states on its website that the company is "The Most Efficient Garage Doors Company in Ohio!"  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, superlative statements in advertisements about the tangible qualities and performance values of a product or service are objective claims for which the advertiser must possess substantiation, as they can be based upon accepted standards or tests. As statements of fact, claims such as “The Most Efficient Garage Doors Company in Ohio!,” can be proved or disproved.  BBB  requested that the business modify or provide proof for this claim.  The business did not respond.
  
  The statement "They utilize only high quality, made-in-the-USA parts and advanced techniques to both install and repair garage doors, WIFI garage door openers, and residential door systems" appears on its website. Made in USA and similar terms used to describe the origin of a product must be truthful and substantiated. An advertiser must not express or imply that a product or product line is exclusively made in the U.S. unless all or virtually all of the product is made in the U.S. All significant parts and processing that go into the product must be of U.S. origin. That is, the product should contain no — or negligible — foreign content. The business did not provide substantiation for this claim.
  
  Its website makes several references to warranties and guarantees, including "An optional warranty on all parts and labor will get you the best service possible," "Warranties on All Parts and Labor," and  "All Work is Guaranteed."  When using the term warranty in product advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to sale at the advertiser's location or viewed on the advertiser’s website.  Any material limitations or conditions that apply to the warranty must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed. The business did not add this information to its advertising.
  
  Its website states "Lowest Price: Our garage door repair and installation services are provided at significantly lower rates than those offered by our competitors" and "You can, however, rest assured that our prices are the lowest." According to the BBB Code of Advertising, despite an advertiser's best efforts to ascertain competitive prices, the rapidity with which prices fluctuate and the difficulty of determining prices of all sellers at all times preclude an absolute knowledge of the truth of unqualified underselling/lowest price claims.  Advertisers must have proper substantiation for all claims prior to dissemination. The business did not provide substantiation for this claim.
