The homeowner called our store in May 19, 2025 and talked with his sales person that the floor was bubbling and lifting. We were out at the home on 5-20-25 to do an inspection to see what was going on.

    install information

The floor was installed over brand new 5.2mm underlayment and the manufacture's adhesive was used. Seam joints in the underlayment were filled with adrex feather finish

Flooring down is Mannington Adura Flex, These planks are 6 inches wide by 48 inches long and are laid down individually.

    Our inspection found the following.

Upon our inspection we found that the floor was lifting.

However the planks were still together edge to edge, yet they were still lifting a** one piece. As stated above these are individually installed *** planks that are glued down. We then took a moisture meter and took several reading on the floor. A typical hard-surface floor should have a moisture level between 5% to 12%.

A Klein pinless moisture meter was used to check the levels of the floor that reads levels between 0% to 50%

Upon taking moisture readings on the areas in question we were seeing numbers on low side 34.6% to a OL reading (over limit) . This meaning that the subfloor under the *** was actively wet with moisture. ( we have photos that document measurement and are available upon request.)

In other areas where there was no bubbling the moisture moisture levels were within the levels around 5.7% (once again picture to document)

These numbers were shown to Homeowner during the inspection and has told that with these numbers there was active moisture and or water under his floor. That this was not a manufacture or installation issue but a site maintenance issue. That the excessive moisture levels caused the underlayment to delaminate causing the floor to "bubble". Even with that the manufacture's adhesive was still holding the LVT to the top layer of underlayment that had separated from the rest of the underlayment. This is what gave the floor a bubbling look.

Unfortunately something site related has caused this to happen to their flooring

The customer did call in last week and these statements above were told to him again.

This place is awful! Customer service is ****! They never return phone calls I’ve been the only one calling every time, even calling back because they never call me back!. The guys that put in my carpet messed so much up. Finally got them to refund part of my carpet (Living and dining room) because of all the flaws and holes that were put in it from them already “fixing” it. Called again because they never fixed the carpet coming up off my landing on my stairs. That was a month ago and still no call back! They even tore up carpet in my front door way that was staying there so they could attach new carpet and never even put it back the way they found it and just laid it in there. I am finding even more issues with this carpet and they just don’t care. I paid over $6,000.00 for whole house carpet and it’s ****!! FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO DO YOUR CARPET DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! If I could I’d give them ZERO STARS!!!!! We’ve been doing business with them for years and even family has and no one is going back! They lost a lot of business because of this. I mean A LOT!!

Hi **************, We are sorry about the job, We had offered to replace the areas that were incorrect at no charge to you at all. You stated that you did not want that and wanted money. We then figured out the areas of concern and issued you money back for those areas. We have not heard from you since we issued you a refund which was a little over 40% of the total cost. You now have free flooring that you are living on today in those areas and we haven't heard anything from you since Sept. We will be reaching out to you to see what is going on and see what is going one
