During a recent stay at a cabin (Sidney Nook Treehouse & Siri Glen) rented through the scarlet oak retreats company I encountered some discrepancies with my cabin: pictures were misleading in regard to space it was very small, they stated they had a propane grill but didn’t only a charcoal grill, provided dirty dishes, only given two towels for three nights, accessibility issues with parking, poor temperature regulation at the cabin.
Issues were discussed with *** **** of Scarlet Oak Retreats and they accommodated me by allowing us to relocate to the Siri Glen cabin close by. Upon arriving I was more than satisfied with moving until the night time when my service animal encountered a wasp crawling on the living room floor, I was alarmed but thought things would be okay. Moving forward to the next day I found my service dog face to face again with another wasp in her food dish and another wasp on the window a few feet away. This was a problem that needed to be taken care of so I removed my dogs guest and I from the cabin to get cell service and make contact with *** **** once again. Her husband ***** came out and clearly saw the nests which looked dormant and also saw wasps flying above the chimney. While he was there it was discussed how the DVD player didn’t work, bathroom sink clogged and upon arrival cabin floors and counters dirty.
The second night stay at Siri Glen we encountered cockroaches in the kitchen which again was forwarded to *** ****’s attention. Following checkout, *** sent a very disrespectful email full of capitol letters displaying yelling and anger stating that $250 additional was charged to my card due to dog hair present in the cabin. Anyone knows dogs come with dog hair. She accused me of being a liar stating my dogs aren’t service animals although licensed, and accused them of being untrained, none of which is accurate. *** and ***** exemplified discrimination and utmost disrespect.
